Ati card users seem to be worse off according to known issues segment.

6) KNOWN ISSUES
_______________________

NVIDIA:
General:
Occasionally the tree leaves will appear as square boxes.

6000/7000 series cards:
Cars do not show damage.
Changing the resolution or minimizing the game can sometimes result in visual
corruption. You can restart the game to resolve this issue.

ATI:
General:
A slightly visible diagonal line appears across the screen.

1900 or less series cards:
Cars do not show damage.

3600 series cards:
Can show very noticeable banding.

3870 X2:
Rain drops show up as bright white / red dots on screen

Crossfire game side bugs:
Interior and Night time shadows blink until approached.
When transitioning from interior to exterior the screen will pulse with different
intensities of light for a few seconds.
On occasion the water will jitter rapidly.

Most probably another in the long line of "Hey, it's unfinished but a patch at some later date will fix it" releases.

Most people on ocuk will not have a prob tho coz most have a NVIDIA 8 series or better and as for ATI a lot have the Radeon HD 4800/4500 Series :)

I should be ok i think with 1950pro as the readme only stated 1900 or lower which mines above 1900. :)

Interesting that it has a benchmark mode now and lots of commandline commands. Also that movie maker thing seems easy to use from seeing a utube vid of it in use and could be fun. :)

Given how the game uses DX, and DX is an abstraction layer trying to make things run the same irrespective of the hardware underneath, I'm amazed that we are still at a stage nowdays to have such graphical issues.

I wouldnt want to run this game on such an archaic card anyway so I doubt its really any great loss.

It's hardly archaic now is it? It's only a year and half old, so whilst it's not up to modern standards it does play the games I play at full pelt.

I was just thinking the same. That list is frankly shocking.

It's not a year and a half old, maybe that's when you bought it but it's older than that, at least 2 years and in graphics card terms that's pretty old.

Oh yes, silly me. I forgot that we aren't all middle-class Mummy's boys with money to burn on the latest hardware.
