Black Mesa Source Trailer (get a tissue)

Been looking forward to this since it was first announced. This latest trailer looks fantastic, with the new source engine.

I just hope it sees the light of day. They seem relatively far along, but it's impossible to tell from a trailer just how far they have got in converting the original maps.

you're a mentalist!, crouch jump pwns, yes it's unrealistic but this is one of the best things about the HL engine, you know where you can and can't go on the map

has a kinda quake feel to it, banana jumps and bunny hops make HL amazing :)

This^^^

Also rather fun is that in those old engines if you crouch when falling you take less damage :p

In hl1, on the elevator shaft, if you drop grenades down ther and fall and time it to land on the explosion, you will actually still be alive at the bottom of the shaft too :p

I had half expected this project to have died by now, very surprised and happy to see it still going.

I know a few people who simply wont play Half Life because it looks "too old" now, this could bring HL to the newer generation of gamers.

I played through HALF LIFE back in 99 all the way through with no sound and loved every minute of it. I just made up the story as a went along. I then bought some speakers and played it again from start to finish and it blew my mind.

Memories. :)

I heard this project had been taken over, and would have cell shaded graphics a la team fortress 2 ???

Oh and it would be a normal game release, not a free mod

Source?

<Stewie>See what I did there, do you? Do you see what I just did there? Well, do you? Do you see?</Stewie>

Been looking forward to this since forever.

A guy from the dev team used to go to my college (he wore a black mesa source hoody :o) and we used to always ask him when it'll be finished. He only ever said 'When it's ready', which is a good sign i guess.

EDIT: Omg! 1:32 on that video!!!!

I'd completely forgotten about this.. Had pretty much given up all hope of it being released! Am made up! :D
