Just got my Wisdom teeth out!

lol, yeah gotta take it slow :p

Le Petit Lapin, the dentist said I should get them taken out now cause they will cause me bother in a few years... lol and he explained why I couldn't brush them as well... but i've forgotten

Cold food that doesnt need chewing as stated before. You shouldnt eat anything too hot as it could break up the blood clot that the sockets need to heal well.

If it keeps bleeding try biting down gently on a wet tea bag. sounds wierd i know but the tanic acid in the tea aids blood clotting.

Vitamin K also will help the clotting. Blood group O people tend to have less of this and consequently have thinner blood. You can get vitamin K from : dark leaf green veg, green tea, cabbage, lettuce, spinach, broccoli, egg yolks etc. Just make sure you steam them as raw will be a little tough for your nashers.

How long should I leave it before I eat anything hot? Hasn't been bleeding since last 9pm last night.. so I'm guessing it should be fine now?

Scrambled eggs dude

Should be ok to eat hot stuff now mate, just be carefull. when i had mine out i somehow managed to make the scab/bloody lump come out and had to deal with the blood again :(

Keep the dressing (kitchen towel) moist and change roughly every hour - avoid sucking to prevent dry socket and avoid any hot food.

Tea is supposed to be helpful in the healing process of the gum (after the initial 24 hours after removal).

Had mine done, mine were done under a general, had to be due to the digging they had to do, and almost died in fact minutes from it in fact.

But soft foods are best, soups, mushy weatabix, beans, etc etc, stuff you dont have to chew as such

Kimbie

What happened? How come you almost died?

I had my two bottom wisdom teeth out this morning. It took about 10 minutes in total to take both of them out. I have not felt any pain as of yet.
