How much is your rent?

The place I lease is £1300 pcm for a 1 bed flat in Royal Victoria, Docklands.

I don't know if you win or lose. :o

Must be a nice place for that price - i'd have gone more central with that budget though. :p

Wow, What's with Winchester being so expensive?

It's a nice spot and certainly worth it IMO. Good atmosphere, low crime, very few chavs, good transport links etc... I can't think of anywhere nearby that fits the bill which would explain why housing here commands a premium. I can see myself staying in Winchester for quite some time.

3 bed semi (2bed with a big cupboard ;) ), east sussex. small garden (paved with borders full of shrubs), street parking. £795.
Its not the rent, its the utilities :p Worry about those.

The deal is I pay the rent, the GF pays the council tax, internet, water, gas, elec, Sky etc etc. I'm budgeting £900 a month for anywhere in North London Zone 5 and beyond.

Errr... $4000 (US dollars) a month here for a 1 bedroom apartment in central Moscow. Yes it's expensive, stupidly expensive but there's not much choice and all the others we looked at were much more than that!

Sweet Jesus:eek:

Is it a luxury apartment or is that just the going rate for a normal place? I had no idea it was so expensive.

How long does it take for you to commute in to London?

Luckily I don't commute, we have an office in Bray. I do spend most of my weekends in London (haven't updated my OcUK location since I moved here :p). Train from Maidenhead to London Paddington is usually 30-40 minutes though, depending on whether you're on a fast or slow train. :)

Must be amazing living in Moscow. I'm truly envious. :)

It's a western styled apartment and that's about the going rate. Like anywhere it comes down to compromises as to where you want to live in the city so you can find cheaper if you want to be further out. Having said that in the 1 bedroom ranged we looked at apartments up to $6500/month. All pretty much the same size just a slightly varying location (and not by much).

Take a look at rollonfriday.com

Should be able to get somewhere half-decent in Zone 2/3 if you look around.

I'm sorry if I might be too curious here but what do you do in Moscow? I've also always wanted to hear what it's like to live in Moscow.

I run my own businesses so can live wherever I want (within reason). It's my girlfriend who actually works out here (for an American consulting firm) so I just follow her around.

£500 a month for a double bedroom. includes water, gym on top floor, swimming pool, sauna, steam room.

Living in Cardiff

Just moved into a 2 bed, new build flat, so I am the first tenant. Has a kitchen/lounge but the kitchen is big and so is the lounge (I actually have space with all my junk in there!!) Modern bathroom and decor. It is just me in the flat and it is £595 per month excl bills. I wanted a 2 bed as I have a ton of PC stuff and I also make model boats so need room. This is in Crawley, West Sussex and is a steal in my eyes as I was looking at £750 for as nice a place as this.

I am also right near the shops and a somerfields, the area isn't great but then I aim to be buying a house in a year so I can put up with it.

Wow, cool, what's it like if you don't mind me asking? I know that quite a lot of places around the world have reputations (I'm in Liverpool lol)..
