Grand Theft Auto 4

Well I'm confused, I went to the shop with the name with bold purple colored font to pre-order/reserve a copy of GTA IV, they needed their purple reward card, so I gave them it, then I got this paper printed out, saying NRRGTA IV PC (whatever that means?), 0.00

Nothing to pay
Balance to pay 0.00 pounds.....

I have not given them my card so how can they say I have nothing to pay and how does this count as a pre-order/reservation?? :confused:

Any ideas?
 
No demo? No sale...

Well, I guess I could buy it, see how well it runs, and if I don't like it I can take it back but that's about 1 million times more hassle... :(
 
Think if it runs like cack on my system I can go to game complain that it should run perfect but everyones having problems and... I WANT MY MONIES BACK!, would they do it?

Im pretty sure you will need to go back to the shop and present that bit of paper so they know you pre-ordered. I work at the purple store and i dont even fully get it myself, granted i have only started there.

One you give them the paper, they scan it, get you your copy and then you pay for it. At least thats how i think it works.

They won't refund you if the seal is broken. They will always say, at least at my store, "Will this run okay on your system?". So thats them covered.
 
I know im starting to feel glad I didnt sell the ps3 version, im running a e6600 4gb ram and a x1950xtx 512mb. Guess my gta4 will run like crap when it arrives :(

On the other hand it means upgrade time :D

The console version is certainly looking a lot better than the PC version at the moment, specially when its looking like you'll need to spend at least £500 on a PC to get it looking as good as the console version at a playable rate.

Oh right, thats good then :D

You know what is not good though? 34 quid in store :(, although providing we get **** loads of mods like with GTA SA eventually it will be well worth it.

Anyway, is it running in DX9 or 10? I wonder if Windows XP is faster? Considering using XP again for this!

Dear lord its another Crapsis, mine hasn't turned up today so maybe getting posted today (order says complete though and depstach date says the 1st.), so gona try and cancel it, and i think ill steer clear of this section for a year or two as everyone will be kicking off as usual, ala Crapsis.

i did a benchmark with auto config and is sluggish as hell, i was so looking forward to this even with my new spec im only hitting around 22fps!!

AMD X2 Dual core 6000+ (3ghz)
4gb DDR2 6400 crosshair
geforce 8800GTX 768mb
