WTD: 330i for 330Xi

Umm, I can't beleive the OP is snowed in. No wonder England grinds to a halt when there's a light snow shower. No doubt it'll be item 1 on the news tonight (then more info on the mumbai thing)

As in it doesnt look like their was enough snow? did you not then see the photo aftwards of the dog in it? Look how deep it is man :p That combined with tyres not designed for snow use (eagle f1s with a 255 section) and rwd, and compacted ice and no grit plus a hill, i wasnt going anywhere :p

IT's still snowing quite heavily, but the road has cleared a bit so im gonna give it a try now, bbl maybe :p

Tom.

no grit on the road i take into harrogate this morning, snaking down hill was an...experience to say the least (back end lost it at the corner at the peak of the hill, my fault, 1st real driving experience in ice/snow)

Yeah, they haven't gritted many places at all :( . My street was like an ice rink!

LOL

My previous BMW's were crap in the snow.

I can't wait to go trucking tonight, in all this lovely snow (throwing it down here currently!)

I must be mad!

I had to travel up to Wales once in a snow downpour. At one point I was so disorientated I couldnt work out what side of the road I was on as you couldnt see the kerbs or white lines.

Was awesome fun! Get out there and drive you pussy! :)

When i was a young lad and we used to live in Scotland i remember some really bad winters, once we had so much snow they sent the plow down the main road, turned it into a single lane with 8ft snow banks each side

Aye RWD is really bad in the snow, no grip at all the mazda was really bad in the snow, not enough weight over the wheels.

sometimes even 4wd doesn't help..
don't attempt to drive around a stricken car on narrow snowy roads :(

Why was the car in the middle stricken?

Just gave up? :p

Unlucky mate.

the tool in the middle of the road had a 15 year old 318 with worn-out studded tyres and broken ABS, so he claimed if he tried to roll back, he wouldn't be able to brake and would crash

had to wait over 3 hours for two trucks to come and pull me out :(
notice the amount of snow in that time too.. enough for my mate to write **** in norwegian :o

the wheel wasn't bent, i just had rather hard suspension :p

Poor effort mjt. I see no engine parts strewn across the road - nil poit.

Anyone wanna show him how it's done?!

(seriously though, unlucky - hope there isn't too much damage!)

Also, that photo you posted makes it look like you were doing the Finnish stage of the WRC!
