A lot of fast food places in London don't have bins on the 'shop floor' such as the Maccy's in Liverpool St. station, thanks to the IRA, so leaving on the table is the only option.

If there are bins available, I always put my rubbish in the bin.

I always bin it. Unless there are absolutly no bins anywhere in the shop as some people are claiming I suppose. I have never actually seen that myself though.

leave it for the plebs to clean up. they should be grateful im eating there.

Yes. I am sure the workers are all delighted that the amazing mangobreeder has decided to bless them with his presence.

I'm keeping someone in a job. I'm good that way. ;)

Actually you're not, you're just making the job slightly harder. It might be getting fairly obvious by now that there's a general atmosphere of disdain and contempt for McDonald's workers in this thread. This thread is like a trap for those who feel superior or stuck-up.

Anyone else want to show their true colors? And we wonder why there's a distinct lack of respect in society...

I was brought up to put it in the bin, so it's just stuck with me. Isn't that the normal humane thing to do?
McDonalds seems to have gotten a lot better recently, refurbing the stores so they look nicer etc.

I always bin it. The tiny amount of effort that it takes doesn't hurt me and makes someone's job a bit more bearable. :)

Theres plenty to do if even if you put it in the bin. theres emptying the bins and wiping the tables etc.

Thankfully as I don't work there, I don't go into that level of consideration when leaving.

If it's handy for me then I throw it in the bin, if not then I leave it. I believe when you sit in you have the option and I know plenty of people who will leave it every time.

Mcdonalds have never had a table service operation. Their service style is one of choose, pay and collect from the till point. This denotes that you should also have discard of the rubbish.

If you had to choose from a menu at the table, get it delivered to the table, pay at the table then I would not expect to have to clear my table.

Yeah, my local store had stayed the same for years but recently, they have decorated the place twice in about two years and it looks really rather nice now. Well, nice compared to most fast food outlets anyway.

People who dont put their rubbish in the bin when they have finished are animals. It's a shame they are the most prevelant customer type in McDonalds.

Totally disagree, not that i eat there much. I never ever clear up in McDonalds, if they are going to advertise as a restaurant then i will treat it like a restaurant. Clearing food away off a table is the staff of the restaurant's job.

Then i'm glad I don't know you as you are a lazy ****

Do you sit at the table and click your fingers demanding a menu, napkins and cutlery as well?

I'd like to know where this all started.

Was it not always the restuarant/cafe/eaterie owner that cleared the tables after you left and then gave them a wipe with some sort of cleaning product.

Why are we expected to remove our own rubbish by the McDoanlds/BK/KFC clans? If you went to your local cafe would you clean the table and take the plates through?

I will always stack everything up onto the tray and then leave it for an employee to collect and then wipe the table down. I am fed up going to these places to find that the previous occupant of the table had cleared away the rubbish but left sauces etc plastered all over the table, and beacuse these cant usually be seen by the staff they are not cleaned up.

Its common sense really. Why leave your rubbish lying around when you can easily dump it in the bin and make it better for everyone.

Always bin unless there's a valid reason not to (already full/overflowing bins, only bin available is right next to where people are eating and I'll disturb them, etc). Goes for Maccies, KFC, BK, etc.
