So now I try to go back to it and I get the stupid error when loading \o/

Not only is the game crap, but its not even consistantly crap.

MMA10? You have to log out of Social Club, then start the game.

Well my copy arrived from jersey today so i thought i may as well have a laugh and install it! Installed fine and signed up for both the accounts, finally got into the game and it actually plays. The res is 600x320 and all the details are on low but it still runs which i'm surprised at! Just a shame i'm probably getting around 5 fps! Oh well that passed half an hour of fun

*scuttles off to ocuk shop to see what to order* anyone spec me a rig to run this beast? Email in trust

I'm very close to saying that tbh. Only when I saw the water, the rest of the city across the river and a sunset I changed my mind...

The main fault is the lack of AA, models just look from pre 2000 because of all the jaggies...

It would look superb if everything was smoothed out and minor motion blur added.

is anybody getting the gta 4 fatal MMA10 error when trying to start the game, is this something to do with the servers playing up?

Nope, even crysis, with all its day-1 monstrosities of problems still ran better for me than this pile of donkey scrapings.

I think the MMA10 error is because so many people are signing into Social Club at the same time.

Is anyone else not having their key binds saving? I changed all the controls yesterday and when I loaded it today they had been reset to the defaults. :confused:

You've got to laugh at that quote.

It's currently unplayable for me on an 8800GTS 640MB at 1280x1024 with everything on low. Considering my machine deals with Crysis at 1900x1200 (at medium) without issue I'm rather perturbed to say the least

It's going back in the box until:
a) I upgrade my machine
b) Rockstar releases the mother of all patches to sort out the performance issues
c) Nvidia release a driver that contains some sort of GTA IV magic pixie dust

What a waste. I got it on the PC as I wasn't impressed by the PS3 release, so this has really made my day

they have 2 make a patch !
surely they are getting hammered with emails, or maybe there getting hammered on champagne ?
i reccon they new it was poo poo when they released it, with a patch on the ready, i think r* will sort it out, there not going to have one of their products go down in the crappest release in history with all this modern computer gear in everyones rigs

You think I could try get a refund in the Purple Bold Font Highstreet shop? I want a refund and wait untill Saint Row 2, knew GTA IV would be bad, not expected this bad though and not able to play MP...

They can go screw themselves if they think I'm going to go out and buy an Xbox 360 for Windows controller to play this, is it too much to ask to play with a Saitek P880 controller?
