I just want MP :(

If I load the game with Social Club signed in it crashes with the MM10 error. If I logout of social club it loads fine but wont let me play MP.

The only way I can start the game is signed out of Social Fail :(

Is the MP worth even keeping this installed for?

I think you guys who are looking to take it back should wait for a bit. It hasn't been out long, give R* a chance to redeem themselves.

As for getting a refund from shops, they don't legally have to take it back, fit for purpose is difficult to claim in this case, PC games are a lot more complicated.

If the consoles were anything to go by then a loud confident 'no' from me. Every mode was god-awful, even with things like the auto aiming (aka the 'press to win' button) turned off it was just a huge mess. Because of the very much open state of the game mode battles would be decided by the first guy to get in a car and drive to the objective. A lack of clear objectives resulted in confusion, people shooting at their teammates without realizing, people chasing after the wrong enemies. The online community died within the first month.

They've had bloody ages to get it right. What they have done in reality is promised a PC release, then a week before it was due, thought "oh ****, we forgot to make it. I know, lets release the 360 version and not actually make it work".

Thats all well and good but they say:

They advise anyone that is encountering difficulties to contact their local technical support helpline for advice and recommendations. These telephone numbers can be found in the game’s manual. You can also refer to Rockstar's support site

Well I done this and I called them about the low FPS I get on my setup (GTX260/E6400) which was told it is strange but they will raise the call up.

I then get the mail below from them:

Complain about getting only 15 FPS to 20 FPS

Hello,

Unfortunately getting 15 to 20 FPS with you computer configuration is normal. The game requires very high specifications in order to run above 20 FPS

How can they find out whats wrong if they think NOTHING is wrong :p

What an unoptimised piece of junk. [email protected], ati 4870 and I'm struggling on medium settings. Probably have rose tinted glasses on but I reckon San Andreas looked better than this on medium although I can see the physics are a bit better here.

Such a shame I can't even enjoy this on my current system. Had been really looking forward to it as well. What's the consensus on constraining factor, the cpu or the gpu memory?

Getting a refund from the

is nigh on impossible for PC games. They generally only take them back if they are still sealed and will try to blame all "unfit for purpose" and "it is a hideously mutilated mess of a game" logic on the specification of your PC.

Or tell them that you refuse to accept the T&Cs that are displayed only when you open the box and start to install the game....

Looks like I'm not the only one getting that lame Social Club error. Its not enough for them to make me sign up, they then make the game crash because I've signed up.. Grr.

I've had a couple crash to desktops.. And I know for a fact my system is rock solid so its not that that is causing the issues.

@Wizzkiddy.. Thats a poor response from their tech support!

in that case they should have listed a GTX260 as minimum requirements.

The gameplay is identical to previous GTAs from what I've played of it on the Xbox360
No it isn't. The new retarded panning of the camera (where it takes half an hour to follow the car around a corner) means that for the first half of any street, you can't see where the **** you are going.

And the controls when walking feel like the drunk driving missions in GTA:VC, completely disjointed from feeling.
