whats the heads up on these anyone here got one over the nc10?

look pretty good apart from 3cell but has ExpressCard slot ( what can I do with that?)

so any one want to comment as i need to order netbook as i sold my 701 weeks ago and getting withdrawl.

In exactly the same position, made a post about it a while ago but got no response.

I don't think its released yet, but should be very soon, i asked about a week ago and was told 2 weeks eta.

I got it; first impressions really solid build quality feels really good, two mouse buttons rather than the one rocker style on the NC10. Connected to wireless straight away, boots up pretty quick. I'll post some pictures and further details when I get them; planning to put office 2007 and possibly visual studio 2008. I got the black one.

My choice is between the S10 and the NC10 ... what do we think, the NC10 draws me with its monster battery life.

just arrived initial thoughts, very sleek and sexy will post pics asap

Edit:

This is such a massive improvment over my old eee 701, the keyboard is a tad smaller than normal but loads bigger than the 701 but the key movement to superb and have nice feeling and clickty click. I am up and typing this on it after just half an hour and its great, the number keys have been moved over towards the left a little but you get the hang of it.

The screen is beautifull nice and bright and clear as a whistle the 1024*600 res is a major improvement over the 701m its perfect for the intended purpose of a net machine.

It has splashtop which lets you boot up and access net/pics/vids/muisc without booting into windowsXP fully so its nice and quick, this came with xpHOME which is ok for now :) untill i get debian onto it.The speakers are on the front edge and behind a grill not to bad and reasonable loud for a machine this size. Build quality is ACE feels nice and study and really looks nice, super sleek runs silent and a fully charged battery says 3:20 so i reckon 3hrs is on a 3 cell , untill the release the 6 cell it will have to do maybe i can get more if i dim screen a little and switch of the bluetooth which I'm not using.

Have thought about getting a tv tuner for the Xpress34 slot or maybe a firewire port so i can grab my dv cam footage whilst away from home. I wonder if those external Xpress slot graphic cards could work with this?

Will get pics up tomorrow and maybe install some games to try:)

I went and had a look at one on display, and must say its a nicer aesthetically than the samsung NC10 but they keys are a little on the small side. For comfort i think the samsung is better, but then this is very subjective.

its a nice little machine,

After 24 hrs i can say that its nice to use the screen is very bright so i dimmed it down to maybe 1/3 and battery lasted a tad over 3hrs which is good as that was constanst browsing/downloading of some steam games onto it.

the multi touch is a nice feature of the trackpad and its of a resonable size and not too awkward it has two seperate buttons not a rocker style button and they are in the correct place.

i saw the black and white for sale in the UK, i went for the black .

Had for over a week now and very happy with the the little machine its an absolute joy to type on.

been waiting to buy a netbook ever since this craze started with the eeepc.. was going to get an eeepc or an nc10 but got this last week: Black Lenovo S10e, 160gb hdd, 2gb Ram (easy upgrade), XP home with linux splash on the front. £324 with 2gb ram. everything is top notch, all the features work very well... i cant complain about anything, only slight niggle would be the 3cell batt that comes with it lasts 3.5hours and about 2hrs hard usage, problem is really the 6cell battery hasnt been released yet in the UK.. im trying to find out from lenovo where/when we can get them. once i get that and a freeview usb dongle im all set :D

almost a 10 out 10 :)

Would love to see one in the flesh.

Don't suppose you could tell me where via email or something, posting would be against the rules, right?

went and looked at a nc10 earlier but it really didn't do anything for me and that trackpad is way too short
