Anyone else just really fed up right now?

If my happiness could be seen on a sine curve i would just be on my way up from the bottom of a stationary point. Things are getting better :) (although i'm somewhat concerned that i just used a maths analogy)

I love when people whinge about simple things to change, get a grip and get on with work/uni/life*

I'm at the lowest I've been for many years but I have an excuse.
About 5 weeks ago I was diagnosed with Diabetes and I have a blood pressure of 170/112 which still hasn't been treated:(

I'm sorry you see it as a bad thing but diabetes, even type 1, is very easy to manage, and also the high blood pressure you could do something about that your self, I don't want to make assumptions here but I would say you were a bit over weight? Maybe shorter than most? Lots of factors lead to high blood pressure and diabetes in laters life but most common is your diet.

Well where do I start, I'm paying off a £94,000 debt that was left me and lost both my main jobs, I'm a very ill person taking 49 tablets a day for various problems that I have, but yet every time the phone rings and I get a job or chance of earning some money I'm in bliss, today I got a £45 job and I feel great.

Can't go to do it though until my tablets take some of the pain away as I can't walk or stand for about an hour from waking up.

Seriously if you have problems break hem down into small bits then do one at a time soon it will be over.

This debt will take me nearly 20 years to pay off I've already been paying for a year, but as time goes by earnings will go up and it will probably be done in 12-14 years, bad but not life threatening.

huge debt + no work = personal bankruptcy surely?

i think you are right on both, but, iirc he is shockingly fit, like marathon running fit (or not far off it).
still, nothing that life changing diet and exercise cant make a difference to.

BP tablets - once on them you will strugle to get off them (from what many people have told me before)

If thats true then I stand corrected.

I just feel shoddy due to having been made redundant a month ago, that's my only issue, that and Christmas doesn't feel like Christmas, and a few others things...But hey :)

You are 100% right and since I was diagnosed 5 weeks ago my wife totally changed my diet and I'm now nearly 2 stones lighter and had to buy new clothes.
The problem is that I'm still waiting for a Glucose Intolerance test and nothing can be done until that's been done.
I actually collapsed at my gig last night but at least it was when I was packing up.

Well I would suggest 2 stone in 5 weeks is too drastic, to regulate your sugar level you still need sugar, you can't just do away with it.

Don't get disheartened by it, just remember that millions of people live with it.

Nope I'm feeling great, actually have a decent amount of time of work this month including every weekend :). Could count the number of weekends I've had off in *** last 8months on one hand..

Times are good, parties are starting. I love December.

Its the diastolic rate of 112 thats getting me.

Ahh just take it easy and make it part of your new years resolutions :D My mum is late onset diabetic and my dad isn't but mum has done what your wife has done - he's thinner and walks/rambles up to 5-7 hours on holiday now. They both think nothing of walking four miles to go and post a letter or get the paper! So getting active isn't impossible, getting weight off too isn't and they still enjoy a good wine every so often. (I assume you'll also have to watch alcohol too)

I don't get SAD or depression but I do find that if I'm tired it takes the fizz out of life. I think a lot (including myself) have also been concerned about work/home etc but the main thing is that all money buys. Important bit is to have your health, your family safe and out there there's always a green field :D

Besides.. the dark means tighter cuddlez in the morning as she doesn't want to get out of bed into the cold! :D

That's what I'm hoping :p

 fingers crossed that some good opportunities come your way soon.

I used to be lazy (sometimes I still have my days) but my female ex-housemate opened my eyes. It amazed me how much energy she put into life, relationships, friends etc. Far more than I'd seen anyone in my 30+ years in the UK.. prompted me to get of my butt and set a precedence in my life :D

I always particularly hate this time of year, even more so since being made redundant.

Can't wait to get December out of the way and into January. At least then the days are getting longer, and spring summer are coming.

Bloody winter.

Read this. I know its a bit of random thing to post, but know that everything in life is relative, not absolute. Then realise that it doesn't matter that you didn't pass the driving test, you aren't stupid or ugly or weak or have any other absolute failing, because there *is* no absolute definition of these things and you can improve anything with effort.
