Where do you go whenever we play well and win then?
We've played well, this year? Oh I forgot, our two good performances, Wigan and Sheffield in the cup when i said we were brilliant, and praised (almost) everyone who played. Or are we again saying Fenebache, who have now lost again at home I believe, so it wasn't quite the big thing everyone made out, or the return game where we were utter crap again, the fact we could have conceded 5/6 in the game where Almunia played out of his skin only to have half the Arsenal fans, and half this forum on his back a few games later for a poor game which isn't unexpected when your team barely stops a single attack on goal in the entire game. Not me, I never got on Almunia's back for making mistakes under massive pressure, it happens.
I'll again point out our wins were all against bottom 8 sides pretty much, we lost most of our big games except Man U and Chelsea, thats 2/6(maybe 2/5, can't remember) won against the top half, not exactly great and awful performances except the two wins, which I said were good but weren't great. Ronaldo finishing would have won that game for Man U, Chelsea have a lot of players out but we actually did play pretty well. Our "best" performances against other sides, Blackburn, who I said you can't base on past experience of how good they were, I said they looked relegation quality, I said they had maybe the worst defence in the league and the scoreline was flattering due to it. Hmm, look where Blackburn are now and how easily the let in goals against any team. Have we had another great performance this year, I'm not sure. Wigan, we won, it was far from a good performance. were the 5 loses any good, were we at all unlucky for any of them, no.
Infact the only thing I've really complained about is Wenger. I like Song's attitude, its not his fault he's not any good, I wish he was better but he's not, he's not chosing himself to play, Wenger is. Denilson I say every single time I think he can be world class in his position, I very much like him as an attacking mid, its Wenger who plays him out of position all the time. ADebayor, well, i actually just don't like him, his attitude, his inability to do anything unless given a perfect throughball, lack of effort and every time he scores getting a bigger ego than anyone else ever at the club has ever had, then going on to do nothing for another 8 games. He's the one player I criticise consistantly as he's the one player I think is crap but also has a terrible attitude.
Where as the majority of this forum has criticise Fabregas's performances, I haven't, Eboue constantly, I haven't, bendtner, I haven't, Almunia, I haven't, RVP, I haven't, etc, etc, etc.
The only real problem I have is Wenger, he's lost it, the sooner people get over what he did in the past, no matter how great, and see he's lost the plot completely the better for the club. Jesus, Fabregas recently went on record saying theres no chance he's leaving, and just before the transfer window Wenger makes a public announcement that if big players start to leave he'll be the first to go, please explain that one to me. He's either saying he thinks Fabregas isn't commited, or criticising him, neither you want to do when many clubs would have him, he's saying he just gave the captaincy to a player he thinks will be the first to go, and surely it only encourages clubs to make offers and unsettle him? Its insane that he'd say something so utterly ridiculous at any time at all, let alone right before a transfer window. Its almost like he's asking for damn offers for him.
ROFL, good to have you back
I don't know why drunkmaster bothers, he constantly gets mocked here and is always shown up when someone comes along with proper facts.
Get shown up but what facts. Every other thread on this forum that mentions wages mentions Arsenal having a ridiculously high wage bill, I keep hearing second highest in the prem, 3rd, oh no, my point has completely changed. Except it hasn't at all. Lets point out we're around 15mil ahead of Liverpool, and only 2-3 mil behind Man U. Again people mention Diaby, Eduardo and other people that are out, but that doesn't change the fact that if you line up the 20 highest paid Liverpool players vs the Arsenal players I would imagine Liverpools would be higher paid. Gerrard you assume is on 100k a week or more, Torres, Keane, Risse riding the bench was on 90K, which suggest most of their first team isn't far off that. I still ask, where's are money going. Of course Arsenal have first team players on the bench, but not many, the ones that are out injured don't make up massive numbers. With them out look at our bench, Wilshire, Ramsey, hoyte, Fabianksi most games. Man U will have Nani, Hargreaves(when fit), Neville, tevez, keeper, Scholes/Carrick, Giggs, etc, etc.
Can you not see that our bench, compared to that is hugely less established, old, world class proven and probably all on or around 100k a week by this point. So again I ask, where are our high wages coming from.
