Those who thought LighterLife was dangerous, here's your proof

Take it anyway you want, it's fact. Science doesn't lie. :p

I'll say it again: The only way to lose weight in a healthy, controlled way and to keep the weight off is to eat a balanced diet, use more calories than you consume and have at least thirty minuets of exercise a day..

Anything else is just marketing bumpf.

How can you not see that you're totally wrong? Well done for explaining your 'science' of weight loss - I'm sure that was new information to everyone!

You forgot to mention reasons why these 'quick fixes' are more appropriate for some - here, i'll name some examples;
food addiction (having no food can help with this),
morbid obesity (unhealthy levels of fat - it's better to drop the weight quick), bodybuilders/weight trainers (using ketosis to drop the fat surrounding the muscles),
psychological problems preventing your 'scientific method' (quick fat loss as a 'kickstart' to lifestyle change).

Oh, and of course there's your brilliant '30 minutes of exercise' a day mantra. What if you're too fat? What if you're disabled? What if you have heart problems which prevent cardio work?

And so on.

So basically you're talking utter rubbish, probably have no idea about the 'real world' except what you read from sensationalist media, and believe that real weight loss is 'just that easy'.

P.S. - I don't actually like lighterlife. However V-diet (which I've done - is a form of ketosis) is actually a fantastic way to lose weight (for me it was for aesthetical reasons as I weight train).

I'm not wrong. I'm right and I know I'm right. Sure you can lose weight with these fad diets but it won't stay off and they are bad for you and when push comes to shove in the long run only a change of lifestyle will fix it long term.

If you're too fat to do the 30 minutes then start with less and low impact at that. Again common sense, being too fat for exercise? Pull the other one.

Disability isn't an excuse neither. I have two (and one is a serious lung condition yet I am an avid cyclist) and they don't stop me and although it is harder if you are in a wheelchair it is still possible,

Body builders and those with food addiction aside it seems that quite a few people are not aware of the "new" information I posted.

the point is, you are wrong. You can lose weigh with the diets mentioned, good weight at that.

What you are talking about is sustaining that weight loss, which is where the lifestyle change comes in.

I don't know, i just wanted to know what it felt like to be truly hungry, which is a rare thing i reckon in the developed world.

i was really ill last week and as a result drank only water for about 24hours andthe 24hours before that had only one meal (which threw up)

anyways...the heinz tomato soup i had that night was nicest meal ever had lol was truely hungry. Although am usually hungry almost all the time :-( but never african style hunger which is what i felt before eating that tomato soup.

It also hurts being that hungry bah...never want to be ill again and would never do so by choice  u have really good mental strength if you manage it i suppose!

you were hungry during that?
i had similar not long ago, but it lasted about 3 days. I wasnt hungry at all, which is very odd for someone who would normally eat LOTS!

yeah i was dying to eat something, but i was in halls of residence and not at home. so wasn't to keen on idea of risking it as was already in bathroom enough without eating!

Hang on...SEVENTY FIVE QUID A WEEK?!

Balls to that. I lost six stone by waLking everywhere - I'd walk to work, walk home, walk to the shops, go for a walk first thing in the morning.

At Xmas:

About 23 stone.

A couple of weeks ago:

About 18 stone (dropped to 17 stone then started putting muscle mass back on)

youve put a stone of muscle mass on?

Yup. My legs got huge from walking everywhere so I'm working on balancing back out. Half a week, my job involves shifting heavy stuff or lots of low-weight, high-rep work...So for the other half of the week, I do lots of high-weight, low-rep work...

It's about 2/3 muscle mass and 1/3 KFC though. ;)
