Have a bet - computer dead or not?

Well, FANTASTIC news .. the PC appears (touch wood) to be 100% perfect.

So, you are all correct. You can not underestimate my sense of relief. One of the cornerstones of my thinking has always been 'water inside a PC = knackered PC'. Now I know this is not necessarily the case (especially if distilled water).

My advice to anyone that has a 'gusher' is to NOT panic .. give the PC a full week in a warm, dry room unplugged -- and then a going over with a hairdryer (not sure if it did any good -- but it takes what 5 minutes!).

I am in such a good mood it's quite unbelievable. The insides were simply a SODDEN, DRIPPING WET including inside the powersupply. They were saturated with water from the system I was in mourning for my pc's death. And now -- I'm back. 100% perfect with 1 99p item bought and replaced (and 6.99 of new water)!.Awesome!

Great stuff matey, well happy for ya :D

Good to read all was well in the end. :) I would have thought water in PC = goner, but then again distilled water maybe not. Still, makes a case for me never to use watercooling though, I've never wanted to incase something like this happened to me.

Watercooling is as safe as the amount of care you put into setting up the system. I've run 2 systems now, both for over 6 months and neither had a leak, and if I had the cash I would go back to water cooling in an instant :D

As I've posted before, 7/16's tubing and zip ties = win :D
