depending on the manufacturer depends whether you get a shock pump or not, which in my opinion is ridiculous! its a necessity if you have an air shock.

Bikes don't come with shock pumps.
MTB'ing does get expensive - i've spent £4k on bikes and another £2k on gear since January 07.
Get out there though and enjoy the riding![]()
Get some 661 Kyle Strait Kneepads - around £28
My mate bought some protection glasses at BnQ for less than a fiver, doesn't do any less of a job for the kind of riding you will be doing, so don't bother with expensive glasses
Good choice in bike mate!
You've not even rode it yet and are looking at new brakes- don't bother, Avid 3's are fine. Once you get more advanced then look at changing them.Already, before even using it I look at new bits and pieces i wanna buy. like hayes stroker brakes

I disagree, the Juicy 3's are horrible imo
Sure they are low end hydro's but they are decent enough.I disagree, the Juicy 3's are horrible imo
From someone who has just bought one of the most expensive frame and fork combo's going you would!![]()
Juicy 3s are great! I used to go as fast as I could downhill running cantis that barely worked ffs.
If your going to upgrade your brakes, take a look at the XT's.. they are a very nice brake and very powerfull. Also light![]()
