HIya mate (and others looking hehehe), saw a previous post you made with regards at a SPEC made for around £700.00

Hi and welcome. :)

I'm not sure what games will look like on a 46" TV but the PC I spec'd below will definitely play games on it very well at that res.

Now.... I have a 6-8 week old OCZ GAMER PSU 750w is this ok to use with the above stuff?

I wanted to "POSSIBLY" overclock at some point, not too much lol, so will that ram be ok or should I get something a little robust?

My case was the next question, a Lian Li which is 4 yrs old

Thats as close as I can get to it, mine actually has 6 drive bays at the top not four, but as far as I can see, its the same apart from that.

I have a Dell 24" S2409W so dont need a monitor.

I have about £750.00 to spend, so I wanted to ask if you could recommend a larger capacity HD (Is there a decent 1TB one, and what is the difference between all the different colours of the Western Digitals?)

I have an old Creative Labs Sound Card (Audigy 2 Platinum) are sound cards obsolete now lol is the onboard sound as good?

Is there a fairly decent Soundcard if not you could spec?

Finally, and not often covered lol, Operating System? Vista 32 or 64bit? or summit else lol :)

Let me know anyone whos reading, want to try and do this pre Xmas :)

Hi :)

Yes, that PSU will run it easily.

I wanted to "POSSIBLY" overclock at some point, not too much lol, so will that ram be ok or should I get something a little robust?

That RAM will be fine for OC'ing the Q6600.

That case will be fine. I am using a Lian Li which has the same dimensions.

The Samsung F1 1TB drives are meant to be very good.
The difference between the different western digital drives AFAIK are;
Green = enerny efficent (I believe it runs at 5400RPM instead of 7200RPM too).
Blue = 16MB cache + 3yr warranty and Black = 32MB cache + 5yr warranty.
I have the Blue one myself as I don't think the Black will be that much quicker and the Blue should be quieter with less HDD noise.

I have an old Creative Labs Sound Card (Audigy 2 Platinum) are sound cards obsolete now lol is the onboard sound as good?

Yes. I am using the on-board sound and I think it is excellent. I can't notice the difference between the on-board sound and my ~£100 M-Audio sound card.

Is there a fairly decent Soundcard if not you could spec?

I'm not that up to date with sound cards but generally the Creative cards are decent.

Finally, and not often covered lol, Operating System? Vista 32 or 64bit? or summit else lol :)

Vista 64bit. It'll be more future proof and you'll be able to use the full 4GB RAM.

Good luck mate.
If you have any problems, just create another post. People seem to be willing to help a lot around here :) Which is good xD
