Did you outgrow teenage spots? Does it get better?

Not sure the chemistry behind it, but unless you have a really unique case then yes you will outgrow them, i had a mate at uni who had a well bad case, his face ended up scarred to bits from the whole thing, but i know a few years on and the spots have clered up, not the scarring though.

How old is he please :)

and lord jaffa i was on Doxycycline and clearing up OK but i said to myself what's the point?

Got the tablets in my draw next to me now actually :P don't take them

Once you come off antibiotics the spots just come back, so I'd rather just outgrow them.

the only medication id go on is accutane, and my case is thankfully not severe enough

Anyway less medical thoughts please, more of did you get em and when did they stop :)

Thanks!

started getting them when i was 12 still have them and im nearly 19. Luckily they have never really been that bad but getting a bit fed up with them now

Got awful chest/back acne. some on face.

Tried about 3 lotions, 8 different pills, acne.org regimen, parent stopped me going on roaccutane (called ahead to the doctor) and claimed it was my diet, so i got some tips.

Stopped wheat, gluten, high sugary foods, eat more veg, more fruit, more this, less that etc. Nothing.

I exercise regularly, shower twice a day, clean top after showering, change my sheets once a week, i tried moisturising, exfoliating, a few different acne washes, none at all, etc.

Nothing.

In the middle of trying a low lactose diet, but like the rest, i doubt it will do much.

I'm 19.

why would your parents do that? :( It's your life not theirs and you're 19 not 12

Mustard works Lexxy, use English though, not that Djion nonsense (besides that would look awful dabbed on your face, all lumpy!).

Just dab a good big dollop on each spot, and leave to dry for about an hour. Then wash off, and give it a good scrub with a towel. Does wonders. :)

Agnus Castus, for men as well as women. Also known as the vitex berry or chaste berry.

Works very well. Also - at least a litre of water a day preferably away from meals. The mineral zinc and vitamin A will also help as will vit C to some extent.

15mg zinc x 1 per day is a good starting point. Or eats loads of pumpkin seeds.
I used to have pretty bad acne but don't anymore.
