Ok I am thinking of getting a 3 drive Raid 0 set up, which I will back up every day to my 1tb external.

I have chosen a single platter HD because its better isnt it?

Which is the best out of the Samsung F1 320gb or Western Digital WD3200AAKS 320gb?

Are there any other drives that I should look at? This will be used for storage and video editing. I have a raptor as my OS drive.

Yeah I've heard good things about these RE3's.

I'm very temped to get a Raid 0, but 2 drives or 3? Although important data will be backed up, is there much more of a risk with 3 RE3's in raid 0 over 2?

Yes, you triple the chance of failure instead of doubling it. It's not the RAID 0 technology that increases the chances of failure, it's the fact that you're using more than one disk.

Because all data is split across how ever many disks there are in the array, if one fails you lose everything. The more disks you have the more chance of failure.
