After just formatting my PC and installing vista 64, I have now connected my other 2 hard drives up, both are 1TB western digital drives.

In windows however, only 1 drive is showing up. I have tried different SATA cables but same problem. Both drives are showing in the bios, why isn't it showing in windows?

Is it showing in vista's device manager, Didnt happen to have 1 setup as a dynamic disk on xp?

I was previously using Vista 64 as well, and both drives were showing up fine. In device manager both drives are there! Any ideas?

might not have a drive letter assigned to that drive, right click on desktop icon, click on manage, disk management, (if its showing there) select the drive, right click on drive - change drive letter / path (see what its showing) you change the drive letter

The drive is not showing in there however, there is a disk there which is showing as 'Dynamic' and if I want to convert it to Basic it says data may be lost, but its a 1TB storage drive with loads of stuff on it!

Looks like it is showing as dynamic, any way I can get this showing up without wiping it clean?

Instead of 'convert to basic disk' I ran the other option 'import foreign disk' and the drive is now showing although its still showing as dynamic, I don't care as the data is all still there :p

Glad it's sorted, only a guess but it was a "been there done that" and then it was only accidental - kind of
The only way i got mine back to normal was move the stuff off and then nuke it.
