PS3 has the gimped version of Resident Evil 5.

Everyone needs to calm down, I was only asking why get the PS3 version when you lose nothing and gain something by getting the 360 version. There was no malice or hidden intent behind my post.

Sweet baby jeheesoos... can't beleive all the fuss over the marginal differences. Actually come to think of it this thread has been done a hundred times already but with [insert game title] instead of RE5.

But in all seriousness - are the differences really that great that you would call the PS3 version gimped? Both look good to me, but as usual the 360 has sharper graphics whilst the PS3 has a softer feel to it.

360 version looks sharper but has quite visible jaggies, PS3 looks a little blurry but has FSAA and you could say looks a bit more cinematic.

My 360 died and I never bothered to replace it so it's easy choice for me. ;)

Can't believe people are getting so worked up over this. They are virtually identical and in most real-world situations you wont see any major difference, plus the game is not actually finished yet, plus you can't base your entire views on the comparisons done by one website. It's all silly.

I will be getting the PS3 version :)

Played both versions at the expo like others and from what I played I would say the 360 version looked better, although the tearing was noticable & I didn't notice much if any slowdown in the PS3 version.

Not interested in the game and will be too busy enjoying Killzone 2 to care enough about the game to consider buying it.

I just want to buy a game to play on my PS3, sorry if people can't understand that and think i must by the slightly better looking version

I hump my 360 a lot more than a do my ps3 but it keeps giving me those puppy dog eyes so i need to give her some attention.

Surely you arent buying the inferior version :p even though it isnt the finished code and will probably be slightly better looking on 360 as a lot of multiplatform games are , fair play to you , you shouldnt have to explain you reasons for getting it on PS3 .

I think this is the biggest difference I have seen yet on a multiplatform game. Usually the small differences do not bother me but it's huge on this game.

I will await the final game comparison before stating how crap it is.
