it's pathetic, i've ran out of activations because I had to do some testing on some RAM and I was swapping them in and out. It turns out that changing your RAM counts as a major hardware change. The only solution is to uninstall it after you've played it so that it won't count any of this or use a crack.
Completely Stupid system...Warhead stopped after I edited My video cards bios, I had to call EA for a new key![]()
Exactly, it's madness...can you imaging phoning up your car maker every time you wanted to change the tyres so it will drive again and they have the power to say 'no'. Oh, and after buying it, you aren't able to sell it on...keep it or bin it.
It just wouldn't happen in any other sector yet somehow it's ok to do it to gamers...well they can go jump as far as I'm concerned.
*huff*
*storm*
*rage*
unless you download pirated games and miss being able to get away with using a simple No CD crack.
THAT much trouble.
You still do..
It's more trouble than going to a site and download a crack...
No you don't get my answer, I'm saying you still get away by installing a crack. There's no difference compared to games that do not need activation. A proper release has the activation removed from it and you apply the crack for a game as you have been for more than a decade now. I'm just saying activation doesn't give people who download a game any more or less trouble than any game...Never have, never will
How is it? You enter your serial as normal and press activate, some games don't even require you to press activate at all.

No that's not my issue, I'm saying it's easier to download a crack than to uninstall a game to get your activation back for something as simple as a 2 minute hardware change... Have you even checked where ''that much trouble'' in your post was located, directly after you said it's not that much trouble to uninstall a game, I'm saying it is...
As I said, I have nothing against activating, provided I don't get a moan when I change my hardware, or about reaching a limit and telling me to call some monkeys. It is much simpler to apply a crack, than to go through the trouble of reinstalling every time you want to change your hardware, which in my case was 5 times in the past 2 weeks...
I have games I got legit that need activation, for example GTA IV or Bioshock. But neither Bioshock ( okay I have the steam version but still), or GTA IV ( which I have a retail un-modified copy off) moaned about my 5 cpu changes... I'm simply moaning about the DRM EA games adds in its games, I certainly won't stick with original exe's in EA's games, I just apply a crack and I'm done with all the rubbish.
But what about ze multiplayer?
