It's not Chinese on the scale of design bogarting but the rear lights, the roof line and the general profile certainly are Aston-esque.

The rear lines and light clusters have an Aston look as does the front grill, could be just me though

Rear end = Aston Martin
Profile = Toyota Celica
Front = Fiat Coupe

Not very original but doesn't look too bad for a Renault.

The cost of it puts me off straight away. For a reasonably specced version is 25K. You can get a lot of choice for that money

I think it looks awful from the front, bonnet sticks up loads!

From side and back though... very nice

I don't like the look of "High sided" cars so much though.

I did my best to put together a quick list of why I thought it didn't look like an Aston, maybe you could tell me how it does?

My thoughts...

Quarterlights are similar in style
Rear screen is pretty similar in shape
Roofline is pretty similar
Rear looks rather similar too

Obviosuly it's never going too look too much like an Aston, but to me and most of the people who see it, it's styling does resemble that of an Aston.

The camera angels in the advert highlighted and exaggerated the similarities and/or Aston Martin influences that are to be found on the exterior/rear 3/4 appearance.

Yay someone else who saw it! That was partly my point, the ad made it look like ooh that's like an Aston Martin, wanted to kno wif anyone had seen one for real as I doubt it's like that in real life.

Headrat, if you ignore forward of the front doors as that's totally different, and photochop the rear 3/4 window to make it the same as the Aston I reckon they'd look a lot more the same.
