Ultrac Sessanta's (Quick Review)

Tyre reviews are pretty worthless though - it varies totally depending on the car. I have no problem with my F1 Asymmetrics but on Pete's M5 they're hopeless compared to the Conti SportContact's on there before (they can't cope with 400bhp obviously).

I've now done over 800 miles on them and my initial views are still correct, however i must admit the weather isn't very good for tyre testing, nothing but slippy surfaces atm.

Well no, its just the cheif reason I ignore user reviews, cos comparing a finished tyre with a fresh one is a pretty invalid comparison :p

See above :)

Tyres don't make much difference - the ride will be harsh on relatively low profile tyres + M Sport suspension (as your car is).

I suppose instead of replacing perfectly good treaded tyres (the fronts) the wisest choice would be then in this case to just get a pair of PS2s on the rear?

I don't think the fronts have gone down much at all since I got the car! certainly don't look any different to the pic I took of them back at the time of the "show your tread" thread and now!

When were the last tyre test resultss published? Im looking at changing mine pretty soon. Falkens seem to be favoured on the Z4 forums but Im not entirely sure if thats just because they are quite cheap.

Eagle F1 Assymetric replaced Eagle F1 GS-D3 for 17 inch and above if thats what you are thinking about?

probably. always getting my info mixed up.

Back to tyres, I need a pair for my Accord, these seem to be only a fiver cheaper then the F1 Asyms that I have on the front at the mo so are they much the same or better? so should I switch?

I might have reached half-life around 3.5k, most of this driving has been off the motorway and my front does have quite an agressive camber angle so this is effecting the wear rates and the weather has been rubbish so loads of wheelspin before tcs does something.

That's pretty rubbish then isn't it? Think I'll stick with the F1 Aysms in that case.
