I got some Captain of Crush Grips "trainer 100lbs" from the classic 5 range about 6 months or so ago all was going well until I injured my finger just under the knuckle. I guess I strained it ?? any way that took about 5 months to heal up and now I am back using the Trainer grips and can do 35 complete closes in each hand well 32 in the left :D

so should I move up to the classic 1 140lbs ??

I also noticed the London Kettle Bell company are out of stock what other places are official resellers ?

thanks

ive bought from ebay resellers a few times, got the 1's and 2's. Id suggest moving to the 1's now if your closing 35. By my estimations something like 15 closes in quick succession = one close of the next level gripper. However as you move up in number other factors come into play.

The number one is reasonable, most of my m8's can get 1 or 2 good reps. The number 2 is another kettle of fish. I dont know anyone else who can close it and currently im stuck at 1 rep on a good day.

to be honest you should have jumped up once you could do 20 closes with each hand.

just cracked 10 each hand with #2 so hopfully il be able to crack on with the #3 soon :D

give kettlebells a call and ask when they are getting them in as i bet you wont have too long to wait.

I made the terrible mistake of not buying the trainer and getting one of the stronger ones. Whilst I did have the power to get about 3mm away from closing it, it basically broke my hands and for about a month I could honestly barely squeeze a shampoo bottle and had to wear tubigrip support bandages on my hands. I've since put it away in the attic and I wont touch it again until I'm older and have the training one!

heh its ok for now ultra :P aim to do the 3 sometime this year for reps though.

skull dont give up on it as it can take time if your not at the gym lifting. or doing manual work with your hands.

Will phone kettle bell company tomorrow and see when they are coming in..think I will get number 1's and the 2.

I am glad I got the trainer first, I guess I can use these for just warming up in the future?

i do a set of 10 with the 1's then another set with the 2's and depending how i feel il either do another set with the 2's or 1's if im feeling brittle :D

Yeah I guess my soft academic hands resented being put on the level 1's right off the mark. I don't want to hurt my hands as I'm boxing now, but I might get the trainer one to build things up.

go for it as it will do wonders for your wrists and hands in general so even better for slamming in peoples heads and ribs :P

Just phoned kettlebell company and they are no longer selling COC grips because of the exchange rate.

They do however have their own range of grips that are calibrated the same way, they are emailing me the details later today. they are also moving to a new website.

think I would sooner have the COC what do you guys think?

id rather have the COC's tbh as you know what your getting. also you cant get on there list when you work up to the 4's and be along a wsm :D

can do teh number 2 4 times, they are pretty tough and make you wonder what grip potential some of the 3/4 grippers have!

Either way i'm looking to up to the Level 3 in around June given current gains :)

Yeah they are, but if you can hold that long I'd add more weight :)

Also doing plate pinches are awesome especially with 20kg plates.
