Take a look at GordyR's bodybuilding sticky. And do a search on my name for recent threads. I've covered in lots of detail a quite a few different training methods and ways to eat properly :)

Ask Freefaller, Morba and Ultra Extreme for more body building orientated advice, I'm more of a heart monkey ;) There's a few fellas here who really know what they're talking about.

Oh, and for the record, skipping is excellent conditioning. It's also great for coordination and concentration when you start doing trickier stuff. I however, am pap at it ;)

Sorry, my post was laced with more sarcasm than is possible to describe. I never do much if any ab work. Yet have a very strong core - you go figure ;)
 
God no. Just bicep curls and chest press - why do I need to do anything else?!

No tight, pert little butt and you'll never get the Alex of your dreams.....i mean man

I recommend tensing your butt for 20seconds, 5sets per day at least. Buns of steel doesn't even come close to describing what i back up :D
 
You should consider competing after all that effort, no one on the stage will come close..
 
You sure? I mean maybe I should lift some weights and stuff? I mean I could go to the gym for like 30mins once or twice a week and just drink lots of protein shakes?
 
And Freefaller, I hope you're not going to waste time doing your legs

You don't need to spend time on your legs, why bother when you can spend that extra time on your biceps doing more curls

Well I don't want to do too much too soon - I don't want to over train, I hate getting those muscle pains you know? They hurt :(

Steedie - legs? Why do legs, I walk every day, and I sometimes go for a run so I reckon I've got pretty strong legs thanks :rolleyes:

Hey guys maybe you can help. My girlfriend wants to tone up her body but she is afraid of getting huge muscles if she lifts weights. She's currently doing 2 sets of 12 dumbell curls at 3kg twice a week. I told her that should be fine but don't do any more otherwise her arms will grow very big, is that right? Also, her diet consists of lettuce. Advise please!
 
Yeah she'll get massive mate, her test levels will be as high as most men's owing to training and exercising and doing that many bicep curls she'll get arnie sized guns from what I hear. I think she should also cut out on the lettuce and just drink protein shakes instead.

I doubt she'll have to worry about getting any muscle from curling 3kg. If she wants to 'tone' which is actually impossible, I assume she means firm up, I would suggest a class ran at your local gym. Tell her to do a combination of light chest press and light seated row. As most women worry about wobbly arms.

A remotely useful post in this thread? surely no?! :p
