I admire your optimism, but no, this march won't make a bit of difference. Apart from increased policing costs and probably more insurance claims when it turns violent.
And a great opportunity for the radicals to evangelise.

760 dead, 3000 injured. Food running out, no electricity for one million people, no water for 750,000. The town of Rafah raised to the ground. You can make a difference. Join the demonstration and add your voice to the millions around the world who say this barbarism must stop.

Taking either side in this conflict is futile. Both are as bad as each other; neither will learn or listen to international pressure, so as far as I'm concerned, they can get on with killing each other. It's pathetic.
Dont worry Israel, brought a crap load of all that into Gaza today with trucks![]()

what exactly do the protesters want? what could UK possibly do?

You can make a difference.
I wouldn't have directly compared it with 9/11 but can see where he is coming from.
As I understand it:
A terrorist organisation (in this case one democratically voted into power) attacks a nation, killing innocents.
The government of the nation being attacked responds with force. Too much force in my opinion, but in the situation Israel finds itself in, I have no surprise at all. Nor should Hamas.
Hamas are hiding behind the people they are supposed to be responsible for. Firing rockets from schools in the hope that Israel decides then not to retaliate. If (when?) they do retaliate they get lambasted worldwide for it.
What exactly does the international community expect Israel to do? Sit around and let their people be attacked?
I have no sympathy for Hamas or the Israeli government. They have brought this on themselves. I have much sympathy for the people on both sides caught up in the mess.
.snip.
And the nation of Palestine which is slowly being destroyed to extinction owing to Israel taking over more and more land and actually oppressing the Palestinians. Israel has a LOT to answer for, they are not and will never be the victims in this no matter what people say.

i wish there was a pro-war demonstation next to the anti-war protest..
