^vista docs and seetings for xp

You don't need to actually put your full music files in there. You can just put shortcuts to them in and save disk space :)

you can't hook up trailers. Was actually quite disappointed by this. I used to love driving around with a massive vehicle. Bus is the next best thing, but it hasn't got the same characteristics.

Have you tried the massive firetruck ? it's almost indestructible & when you turn on the hoses you can aim with your mouse & knock people off their feet:D

Could anyone post some setting they use if they have a 4870. The settings i used on the first island seemed to work fine but now if it rains and I'm on the second island the game runs noticably slower. Hopefully the new drivers coming out will have some sort of improvement on this game.

Thanks

Can anyone explain this...

I had my Q6600 at 3GHz, and was getting about 15FPS average, I just set it back to stock, and now I'm getting nearly 40FPS average! :(

Change anything else? Sometimes GTA can be screwy until you restart too.

Nope, not changed a thing, I'd been running GTA with my CPU at 3GHz for a few weeks as well. I got a BSOD this afternoon whilst listening to music, which was odd, I've never had a BSOD on this PC since I got the OC stable about a year ago. So I just reset the OC and now everything runs better

In game performance is only about 2-3 FPS less :D

How does GTA 4 run these days? I remember when it first came it out it was sorta awful from what i heard is it any different? System is in Sig :)

Came back to this after leaving it alone for a week or two and am now getting the silly "serious error - out of video memory please restart" ... Had a look around on teh web but didn't find something that fixed it at the time and haven't played it since :(

Am going to have to fix it or re-install as I was really enjoying the game!

You need to drop some settings to not get the vid mem error, if you're going above available vid ram - even with the increasing vidram switch.

Have a drive of a fire engine, it plows thru other vehicles like a tank & turns them over, use the water cannon to knock police & pedestrians off their feet, once the police are after you it's almost impossible to stop you as you can just ram them off the road & providing you don't pull up you won't get dragged out of the cab
