Obama hysteria

Can't wait for tomorrow when the limousine stops and out steps Obama, dressed in Crips colours, bandanna and a '9' tucked into his waistband. Only to then Crip walk to the podium, loose a few caps into the air and proclaim with a mighty shout "'sup ******?"

That would make my day!

Why? Because you could never make it as president?

Just need to turn your blinkers off there a moment mate. The UK is the closest ally to the US. The US affects the whole world in so many terms including (most importantly) financially, politically and militarily. Therefore, for many people in the UK the decisions made by the the US shall directly affect them (think of all the businesses and all those people in the forces). Whether you like it or not, the election of the US president is an important implication on everyone's life in the world whether they realise it or not.

Never a truer word said, if we fall out with the Americans we would not get to watch good programs like Lost, Heroes, Sarah Connor Chronicals etc etc.

Instead we would be left with Jeremy Kyle, Eastenders etc.

I am all for being an allie with the U S of A :D

Is he President though? He didn't fully recite the Oath of Office, he fluffed it twice and then on the second time missed a few words out. I'm no US constitutional expert, but wouldn't that render the Oath null and void?

He was made president at 12:00 local time - regardless of the oath.

Thats all he has said, what is he ACTUALLY going to do. That South Park episode summed it up nicely for me.

You obviously haven't read his policy statement.

This is his first day on the job. Would you prefer the slogan - no change, maybe more wars, possibly more unemployment. Think about it.

I guess you're not really into politics, are you?

And like so many people of that sort, you assume that most people think the same way you do.

suppose you got to give President Palmer on 24 some sort of thankyou, lol, then again looked what happened to him in the end.

Im glad someone else is thinking this too :p

Feel like an idiot if i say it though... oh well, i have no idea about politics... Im just interested in what will happen with the kyoto agreement.

All this celebrity around him especially the last days is worrying , hope he is not the PR president.

and btw the americans are behaving like it was the end of some military coup or is it me?

Only he's not removing the troops is he? He's just moving troops from Iraq to Afghanistan, which is the good thing. The sooner we sort out the Taliban and Al Qaeda in that ****ty dustbowl the better.

Just wait until he goes after Iran around Sept-Oct this year, he's got two choices. Talk or bomb them, otherwise Israel will start it first and the US will be dragged in anyway.

Now come on, you really think the usa or israel is going to attack iran? You must be joking right? No one would be mad enough to attack them and no one has any money to do it either.
