£1000 for me!
Afraid not, according to the notes, you can only claim for one child, even if you have more than one that would have been under 16. So its only £520![]()
LOL yeah, okay - go join the other idiot.
Is it £520 per year, or over those two years combined ?
says something about extra money if you actually had a baby within those 2 years......i think, unless i read it wrong
Too bloomin' right. I have no children to claim this for, so I'll just carry on abusing the heck out of my free bus pass instead. I have a hankering for another free day trip to Reading, or Basingstoke, or somewhere. If i have a chance to get some of my money back then im going to bloody take it!
So, families with children place more burden on health care, public service and so on, and get tax credits?
I was 11 in 2003. So this means i could get some free monies?
Although it's not strictly means tested, it tapers off for higher-rate tax payers. If more than £7,935 of your income is at the higher rate than it goes to 0. In 2002-2003 it was higher rate from £29,900 - so if your wage was £37,835 or more then you won't get anything.
Well that's my reading of it anyway.
Heads up for those with Children who were aged under 16 between 6th April 2001 & 5th April 2003 :
