I recently bought a Samsung Spin-point F1 1TB Hard drive and i immediately copied some ripped films onto my new Hard drive. However i found that every couple of minutes the hard drive will just stop playing the film for a couple of minutes and just randomly pick up where it should have been if it had carried on playing, this gets really annoying as i have to copy every single film to my main hard drive then watch it and delete.

Sounds a bit like you've got your power settings to turn off hard drives after a certain amount of inactivity maybe? Go to power settings and turn that off (advanced settings for your power plan) and see if it helps.

tried connecting it to a different sata port if you have any others spare?

Tried a different SATA port/cable and a different Hard Drive and none seem to be the culprit.

Will Try that later.

Setting was already set to never turn off hard disk's.

Noob suggestion but have a look in event log for errors

Checked the log and it turns out that there is an error and it said something about the NTFS structure being corrupt and i need to run the chkdsk utility, will try it out in a couple of minutes.
