I think the price increase has just stopped me buying a 320GB WD hard drive at £40 with it.
Gonna take the plunge on the card though, I'm sure it will be a nice upgrade from my 2900XT.

Same here I was just about to order was having a hard time deciding but decided for £218 I might as well but now the price has gone to £240 i cant justify it they just lost a few sales I suspect. I dont think OcUK will be that bothered as they have sold hundreds :D

Yeah, I was basically about to buy after much deliberation but now I'll hang on til March :(. Good things can't last forever I suppose! Can't complain, it's pretty amazing they were dropped so low. Well done anyone who got a bargain.

They will all sell out and the sales have not slowed down even though the price has gone up.

We kept the price as low as possible for as long as possible, remmember we are still the cheapest at the new price. :)
 
Good old supply and demand. Thing is, if you'd marked these up at £240 from the start everyone would be saying great deal. Unfortunately you will get some now complaining they only got a great deal rather than an amazing one.

End of the day, as you said, they'll fly out the door whatever.

I guess we can always hope.

I'm thinking when the new cards come out in march or whenever it is, I'll most likely upgrade the rest of the system to Core i7 which should help squeeze the most out of the GTX280.
