Ooh.. just been told I have a job interview next week.

And what a way to go from your current employer if you do get the job, you turn up next week and hand your notice in. They might put 2 and 2 together and realise you made a story up.

But hey, you do what your comfortable with and good luck with the interview.

lol- They're offering pittance (17-21k) for that role. Their offices are quite nice actually, they used to have an awesome big daddy statue on the T3 floor.

As for telling them I'm going for a job interview, that passed my mind, but if they just say no, i'm screwed :p

They can't, they have to let you goto interviews. but they don't have to pay you for the time off.

edit - although I have a feeling I might of said that before and been proved wrong..

If I'm at the point of handing my notice in, why would I care? :p Thanks :)

Where did you see the salary for the job, they don't advertise it anywhere?

I've done that plenty of times before, never did me any harm :D In fact, one company I did that with actually took me back after being made redundant from the company I left them for!

They emailed me it - I find it incredibly irritating when companies do not disclose the salary they have budgeted.

Ooh, don't suppose you could forward me the email? if possible use my trust address :)

either way, i'm on about 21.5k now so I can try for the top end of that bracket.

Brilliant. OT, how old are you?

I just don't like the idea of using family members (such as hospital visits/deaths etc) as en excuse to get off work for an interview, just my personal opinion.

I'm 23 :)

Yeah, I wouldn't use family/medical reasons as an excuse. I once told work I couldn't come in because I had a really bad nose bleed (I hadn't), then 1 week later I really did have a bad nosebleed. I hadn't had one since I was a child, karma or what?!

yeah will do if I remember tonight- definately push for the high end - I personally think they have undervalued the role.
