Who has SKY HD+?

The new £49 offer is only if you take out another 12 months with Sky and take the HD pack too.

Tbh I would rather pay £200-£300 for the HD box and never have to pay he extra £9.75 for the HD pack.

You have to pay the £9.75 a month in order to use the record function of the box.

Just like with Sky +

TBH I was told 3 different things today by 3 different Sky agents.

One said the plus box was 99 on top of HD+
another said I couldn't have a + box multi room option on top of HD+
Third said that I couldn't buy HD+ at all as it was just to register.

Go on the sky site and try and buy the HD+ box for 49 under choose my own combination.

There is no final checkout button.;)

Hmm I'm pretty sure you no longer have to pay an extra monthly fee for Sky+

It's just extra for HD. Don't quote me though :p

you dont pay extra for the record functions so long as you have the basic package ie £16 a month or whatever, the £9.95 is for the hd channels afaik

Indeed.

After your contract is up you don't need a sky subscription but to use the record function is £9.75

Just as a heads up for poeple. :)

Sky are now doing HD+ for £49 plus free installation.

I just got Sky+ HD and a Sky+ box multi room for £49 installed after some haggling. :D

I spoke to them and they want £99 to the box and £60 install... :(

Err no thanks..

Thats what I was told initially.

Everytime you ring they make a note on your account.

leave it a few days and then ring again.

When is your contract up?

Just been on their website and yup it's now up at the price mentioned above, so why did they quote a different price??

TBH it seems that it all depends on who you get on the phone.

The guy that sorted me yesterday with my incredible deal seemed to have some extra authority than some other sky sales people I have talked to.

Can you give me an indication of what? I'm trying to pursuade the other half ;)

Well a certain family member was saying in the background while I was on the phone

"There is no way they will give you a + box free on top of the HD Box"

The guy on the phone said

"With all due respect Mr ***** I would ask the person in the background to button his lip as I have the power to do this and the deal I have granted you can be changed just as quick"

I said to Sky Guy

" Your the boss ":)

he laughed and said

" Right MR ***** Just to clarify, Its Sky + HD and Sky + multi room for £49"

I said

"Thats fantastic !"

he said

" I know! How will you be paying the 49?"

I paid and that was it.:D

Are you paying extra a money for the multi room as I'd be willing to loose that for a bigger discount

Well they wanted £49 for the box which is fair enough, but £30 installation. I'm not paying installation again for another engineer screw up with my brick work. So the call ended.

Oh well I'll speak to them later again, after a coffee.

Ok we have sky+ downstairs... could i get multiroom sky+hd for only £49 quid (30 installation) and 20 quid extra a month?
If so i will be ordering :D

I'm not fussed about Multi Room as we have are going to get a Free Sat player for the bedroon. £80 and no £10 a month rubbish
