That looks quite interesting. I have absolutely no idea what was going on but it looked like you have a lot of interesting buttons to play with. Is it difficult to learn the game?

As I understand it though Sov 1 means you're in a very weak position defensively - no jump bridges, cyno jammers, etc. Won't your enemies capitalise on this and potentially cause you to end up with smaller territory? (I only have a very limited outside knowledge of alliance warfare)
Sort of yeah, sov1 means no jammers or bridges. This doesn't really put us in a weak position, just levels the playing field somewhat.

Now that all depends on what you mean by mining, if you think mining in a frigate is all there is to it then yes, its boring BUT.

Within 30 days with the right character start you can be in the 2nd level Mining Barge, the Retriever with 2 Modulated Strip Miner IIs on the go, you already have Veldspare Processing skill to lvl 4 so you can use the tech 2 crystal for it. Add ontop of that all your bonuses and your looking at roughly 1300m3 per 180 seconds. thats 26,000 Veldspar

Show me. Of what start do you speak?

Hey, nice little vid there. Nice FC'ing, though it looked like you had a nice EW advantage, i didnt see anyone from your gang pop, looked like a good engagement.

Watching it is so temping me to resub, but im corpless and all my assets are mostly rigged thus difficult to move when your -10. So im kind of reluctant. I've got a carebear aswell so money is never an issue, im just looking to get into some gangs and watch stuff explode.

When you make a character, its more more impotant that you get your atibutes right rather then having the best starting skills if you plan on playing the game long term. You only start with 1million SP, which is about a months worth of skills.

For example on my PVP pilot, its base attributes are 11 perception and 7 in everything else. Which means with 4/4+20% (fom learning skill) in learning and +3's you can get easily up to 20 in each stat and 24 perception. Leads for a nice balanced character that can skill up all the needed skills fast.

Unless you plan on making a miner/manufactur/research alt that has no interest in combat, then a fairly balanced attributes are the way forward. With decent learning skills, you can tain up all the mining skills fairly quickly. So if you plan on playing the game long term, look past mining.

I made that mistake first character (now my alt) that i use to mine with, it has really high int and memory, so once i trained all the mining skills and wanted a different experience, such as exploration or combat(pvp/pve) or logistics. It look a loooooooooooooong time to train all the combat skills that require perception and willpower for exploration and ratting and defence ops.

Congrats to Pandemic Legion on the Alliance Tournament win.

Some very entertaining fights from all who participated. The Alliance Tournament never to disappoint.

Been playing for about a month now but the corp i am in (E-UNI) dont let us go into 0.0 space, so no PvP for me yet.. what I want to ask is does PvPing actually makes you isk?

Say hi next time you're on! I'm playing in the Uni too (character name is Carathas).

After being a -10 pirate for 2 years I will say you can make good ISK, but there is risk.

If your in a gang of BS, you go out on a roam throughout low sec, maybe gate camp a little and get a few kills, you split the loot between whoever was on an op. But if even one of you loses a ship all the profit from that op is gone because all of the loot goes to the fella who lost his shiney tech 2 fitted battleship.

So you can make isk, but if you lose anything any possible profit is wiped away.

Doing highsec wars atm after grinding up my security status to -1.6, you can make some very good isk targeting mission runners and carebears in general. If your stealthy enough you can capture their Golems and their Navy Raven's in missions to ransom them depending on their setup. Or you can pop them and take the risk of popping the loot as well. If they keep their faction/tech 2 ships docked just camp them in and kill as many of their ships as possible, harrass them as much as possible and then ask them to give ISK to stop the war.

You evil evil person! :p

Keep up the good work :D

Well i reactivated my account, i was hoping to start of by doing some empire mining, using my hulk and strip IIs to mine tons of veld, sell the trit and use the money to fund a PLEX for next month and enough money for PvP ships. Problem is i didn't realize even in a hulk with t2 strips/crystals im only making about 4m/hour, which is nowhere near enough to cover PLEX costs and costs for ships/setup.

So does anyone on here run decent mining ops where i could make some more money? I want to get back into pvp but i need to build up a good supply of ISK first, and currently mining is my only option.
