i was listening to radio the other day. and im hearing how prisoners get sky, playstation, gym, library.

the other day there was some programme on bbc1 about youths that murdered. and some of there cells had tv;s in them. im seeing loreal shampoo and radox shower gel.

are they going prison or butlins holiday camp ?

I believe that different crimes do deserve different levels of prison. Someone in prison for a more minor crime should be allowed more luxuries than someone who has murdered.

Although, brand name shampoo and playstations are out of the question.

Yep it takes the ****, not so long ago I watched an under cover documentary and they basically show evidence that the inmates run the show!

I believe that life should mean life. Not 25 years or so and then out in half the time for good behaviour.

i saw ross kemp on gangs and you should see what a PRISON is called in some countries
. theres 100 guys sharing 1 cell type cage in south africa. they **** in bottles.

Prison should me no luxuries. they should be made to work. clean roads etc. hard time labour. payback the society

Bring back the death penalty, life means life, harsher sentences, send foreign criminals back to their country of origin, no luxuries in prison, they should be fed the cheapest and most basic diet possible, they should be allowed out of their cells once a day for strictly monitored exercise.

The problem is though, prisons are severely overcrowded, and understaffed - not a combination!

I'm not backing the idea of Playstations and Tv's etc, but maybe the idea is to keep the prisoners occupied? I dunno, but they don't have the staff to man the whole prison 24/7 and keep an eye on them?
I don't know, just suggestions really.

However, I do thoroughly agree that prisoners shouldn't have luxuries whatsoever

we in a day and age that. science has advance so far. that no one can be wrongly accused of a crime. with all this dna testing etc. life should me life. and they shouldnt count the days by 12hrs

wtf 24hrs counts as 2 days. day and night

if it was up to me. i would only count the days(light)

This^^^^.

Agreed. But I'm in favor of the death penatly for murders and the like, assuming 100% evidece.

But can you EVER have 100% evidence? I don't think so, which is why so many people are against it, because really you can never 100% proove something :/

I think it should at least be discussed in the House of Commons/Lords though.

definitely send foreigners back to their country. you see that disgusting ***** that raped a women to learn English and get fed in prison(that was his motive)

Bit disgusting that they get all the mod cons in prison whereas students pay thousands for run down uni halls.

The playstation budget should be spent on cramming more beds in each room and more bars on the windows. Perhaps have ONE ps2 in the main social area, that is it.

Definately, once convicted, they should be sent to their country of origin. However same applies to Brits living abroad, they should be sent back here as well.

i guess it happened to garry glitter and boy george. but britain too soft.

Why has the "SEND THEM BACK" mentality had a resurgance here? I thought that was what people worked to remove over the past few years?

I know it's hard to prove, but the case of Ian Huntley a few years ago murdering those two girls, I don't think there's any doubt he did it. So he's safe to excecute.
