Another 400 quid to jump from a Fiesta to a Focus? Something wrong there. I can imagine that sort of differential if his Fiesta was already £1500 to insure but not a jump from 600 odd quid.
 
I paid roughly similar for almost the exact same car when I bought it, from the same insurer. I had no NCB and had been driving about 4 months. Im in one of the worst rated postcodes though.

Yeah it makes a huge difference, in contrast i can insure an A8 for around £600, that's with 6 points 23 yo with business use and 1NCB!

Who was that with, I,ve been with swiftcover for a few years now, I just let them renew it. Maybe i'm paying way over the odds if you can get it for £600for a 23yo fc with business use as well.
