Just been given a 21 day free trial on steam and really want to give this a go before Darkfall comes out. I've started a Gallente Soldier.

It's pretty hectic and a lot to take in, can anyone offer any advice as to what to do?

Join the "OcUK" channel:

1) Click on "Channels and Mailing Lists" icon (Left hand side)
2) Make sure the "Channels" tab is selected
3) Click the "Join" button
4) Type "OcUK"
5) Click OK

Have a chat to the people in there, try and get yourself into a player corporation (you start in a non player corp), there is an OcUK Corporation (http://www.oc-ps.co.uk/apply) however we are not especially active at the moment.
 
Wow surprising how good this game is so far, I'm just a bit at the moment as to finding out what to do after missions. How to upgrade my ship etc and get involved in the going on's :D.

Have you thought about faction warfare? that could be what you are after.

This is exactly what i want, any recomendations?

Also whats the quickest way to get from -10 back tp to -1.9 or what ever is needed to get into 1.0 without 0.0?
 
Humm looks like I could finally have a perfect amarr/minnie tree and no ****ing Small Hybrid one right in the middle :mad:

also pointless old social and corp skills into something useful :cool:

also looking at that, does that mean I could have Will power up to 30+ without plants or is there a cap? How does it work? 12 max ontop of base?


edit they've also updated the roids. The NPC dreads popped a dread in siege being triaged too, apprently.

you cant remote repair a dread in siege.
 
Is this game fun? I never ever played EVE and all I ever read is that you are looking at spreadsheet constantly :p Do you have stuff to do or is it always the same?

Also I heard that the corps does not evolve a lot, ie big corp owns all and if you are not part you can basically do nothing interesting. I'm looking to PvP because frankly I don't wanna look at my ship mining a rock for 36hours !

Advice?
 
The attribute reshuffle, it only lets you move the attributes that you were able to assign at character creation, so 5 or so attribute points?


I'll try and get a video this evening of the weapon effects.

+1, I went through the tut twice as It didn't sink in the first time but once you get the hang of how to do missions tutorials for the rest of the menu's pop up when you click anything at the side bar.

I've only done 5 missions so far though so I dont know if it'll teach me anything more after I've done these first missions.

0.0 space is large, very large, and so can't be owned by a single corp or alliance. there are lots of corps and alliances out in 0.0 and there is lots of wars going on. You dont have to mine roids if you dont want to.
