Who has SKY HD+?

That long? Wow got my SkyHD box same day via a local installer, and it my subscription upgraded to HD an hour after the box was installed.

Person on the phone said it will be about a week, so i dunno whats going on. Thought that living in Northern Ireland would help since obviously there aren't as many people here to order Sky HD.

Oh flippity flop. Got an email saying 3 months wait?! I know the time goes down, but thought it usually said around 4 weeks :(

Don't worry, from what I have read the estimate will go down every day or every other day and should be no longer than 2 weeks for installation.

Most people reporting it as a week maybe even less.

Thats good

Can't wait to try it. Even though i would like the movies, i dont think there is enough on them to warrant getting rid of the Sports. My dad and brothers like to watch football, so getting rid of it is out of the question lol.

But meh, Discovery should be good as well as FXHD. Will give me a chance to start watching Generation Kill.

It might not be that long. It all depends on the number of installers in your area. As soon as you get invited to order you should have an installation date within a couple of days of that.

got a text at the weekend to order the box and arrange install date..getting fitted tomorrow..so 12 days in total from registering to install..not to bad at all!

Hey,

Just thinking about Sky+HD, as there's a pretty good offer on (free fitting and £50 box).

We currently have a really old Sky dish and digibox (circa 2002?) which we are just watching free channels on at the moment (no subscription). Just wondering if they will install a new dish and cabling, or will they just re-use the old kit? If possible I want to keep the current equipment and maybe have it re-routed to a bedroom to continue using. Rather than pay £10pm for multiroom!

Also thinking of taking Broadband Connect with them for £17pm, as we currently pay £25 for Zen Active ADSL. Is the Sky BB Connect service any good? We went with Zen as they have excellent CS and reliability, so it'd be nice not to compromise on this.

Thanks,

Suman

The sky connect package is not a true LLU package. Its not using skys own equipment as such. It generally wont be as good as their proper LLU packages (base, mid and max)

Check your exchange on samknows.com to see if yours is sky/easynet llu enabled

lol the exchange is not LLU'ed, hence wanting to go with Connect ;):p

It's only a large-ish village, so I doubt any of the big guys will bother with LLU in the near future.

I have it - And like it very much.

When i originally enquired they told me 10 weeks - 4 days later i had another text saying i can order, and two days later it was installed !!!

Theres hope for you guys being told 10 weeks yet !
