Seriously don't buy one, they are nice to look and quite stylish but even when they were new they were badly built with a design that pretty much guarantees they won't last long in the UK climate. If you do get one I hope you have a large pit of money available to keep it alive.

Do you have any recent experience with them? Most of the bad ones have been scrapped or repaired by now, it's just a case of avoiding some of the dodgy ones left over.

I have a problem with Rocketdock. When I try and drag an icon into the dock it just puts it as a destop shortcut "behind" the dock. The icons on the dock spread apart as if to accept the new shortcut, but it doesn't work.

Am I being stupid?

Try going into the Rocketdock options and setting the dock opacity to 100%

If its too low it really doesn't think the dock is there!

It might be locked. Try right clicking the dock and deselecting 'Lock items' if it's checked.
