Easyriders Cinema Room

I guess some people don't see the beauty of the forrest because of the ugliness of some of its trees.;)

I work as a quality control inspector so its my job to pick out faults, sadly, this means that things which aren't right leap out straight away :(

The rest of the room is looking fantastic though, cant wait to see it with all the equipment set up

My missus would be great at that job!:D

Dying to see it all set up easy. I got this vision of the Pearl & Dean theme playing before the start of any movie.:D

Skirting painted and finished.

I can smell completion! :D

Lookin' good, lights are effective! Good job hiding the cables :)

I'd be tempted to have some acoustic teatment on the ceiling between the screen wall and that beam, it'll hardly be visible there and should be an effective spot. Something to consider if the room is too "live". I know someone with a room for TV and things and the room is so live it is difficult to hold a conversation in there! Hardwood floor and leather seating can often create this effect (don't know what seats your planning though).

Yeah coming along really nicely.

not feeling the 'cinema sized' tv at the moment though :D

Thats because I'm having a 92" screen...stated the upthteen time in this thread:rolleyes:

Your TV looks a bit small. :D

Looking like it is going to be an awesome room, once it is done you will never leave. Do you have a mini-fridge to keep the drinks cool? :)

TV is for Question time when I need some peace. :p

The Room was not going to have any TV at all. Its not for viewing anything really and was added at a cost of 299inc on top of budget for kicks.

Fridge is a must :D

Not another picture of the screen. People need to read the whole thread :p

Looking forward to how you find the Onkyo 876 and Tannoy's.

As Im poor, I will only be only getting the Onkyo 806 :D

Checked out RS and they dont have the floor standing Tannoy Cutom's anymore on thier site :(

How much did you pay for the 806?

I got my 876 for £599 from RS

And all the speakers for £249

Glad I bought the speakers when I did now. Phew.....They have been in their boxes for a month!

I'm pretty certain he was joking, hence thesmiley

Anyway looking good and, like the rest here, waiting for the unveiling with the bigger screen to see how it all looks in place Good work so far!

Looking good,

I am thinking of doing something similar in my sitting room or bedroom, now that I have kids.
I was thinking of a fixed screen with in wall speakers, but may just have to make do with Kef Eggs n sub and an old InFocus LP-350 projector that are going unused.
