The Eighteen Ten Overture would have sounded rather silly being the Eighteen Thousand and Ten Overture. I call 1910 nineteen ten but oddly I have always said nineteen oh one (1901) but two thousand and one (2001).

we currently say two thousand and eight, so I shall probably use two thousand and ten, although I may use variations depending on context, eg: people say "the 98 world cup", so I might say, "the twenty ten world cup"

That said, i think i am going to go with Two Thousand and ten.

Does that mean you call this year "twenty oh nine"? If not and you say "two thousand and nine" you should stick with what you are saying and say "two thousand and ten".

Yeah, because that is a long way in the future.

The Eighteen hundred and Ten Overture doesn't sound too bad.
