Got Hit, Proceedures in Claim?

she was either coming into the left lane from the inside hence thats i got hit on the driver side, otherwise she would have hit my back instead.

i wasnt trying or going into the inside lane as there is 2 lanes, i was on the outer lane so even so, how would/could i have collided into her at such an angle. the dent on the door is is deepest towards the front.

i got taught the same, outter lanes on round abouts are to "go off" inner lanes are to "go round" i was on the outter to go round then off but i didnt even get that far!

No sorry I didn't think you were heading towards the inside lane, that's my point. If you wanted the third exit then you should have been in the inside lane was my theory, the fact that you weren't and that she was also in the wrong lane caused your collision.

imho both in the wrong lane, they'll say you should not have pulled out into her path, and that she shouldn't have gone into you :p

Reckon it'll go 50/50.

you do see that the arrow has a straight ahead and a right arrow on the side of it right?

i wasnt even no where near that arrow i was where the blue cross was marked, how can you assume i was going towards the A27 if i havent even reached that point? i could have went round the round about in the same lane, i dont have to go into the inside lane to do that as the arrow markings on the road clearly have 2 arrows in one: ahead and round

I still think the roundabout in your pictures is different to the one you point out on google maps, I mean where are the traffic lights on the google maps? Where's the bloody bridge??? You can see in the photos you took that there is a motorway gantry, and blue road signs suggest motorway chap.

You also say that the road arrows had two markings in one, well, on that roundabout they don't.

unless the road markings tell you otherwise.

im getting confused with all these bloody lines.

i don't know where you were heading, so you're saying you were both in the same lane and then you filtered to the outside edge of the roundabout and then she hit you?

if i was inside lane i couldnt get to the 3rd exit, i would have just gone round. the outside lane would have gone to the 3rd exit which was on but no where near going off yet

Tricky one. Looking at the impact on your door, you sure she wasnt in your blind spot? If we take that assumption, it still will be 50/50

She could have ploughed into you as she was going too fast or not paying attention.
You could have turned into her lane, and she hit you.

I think you'll end up with split liability, where each side pays their own excess and costs.

i have already marked the shadow of the sign in the last map, if you look at that and look at my car in first post you can clearly see the signs reflecting on my window, which is present in the map as i have clearly marked it as shadow from the sign

we weren't in the same lanes  i never said we were and if you see from the map i drew she crossed my path from the right hand side if we were in the same lane she would have hit me from behind or not hit me at all.

i was on the outside all the time she came out from the inside hence she hit me from the side.

i wasnt going fast at all, i slowed right down to about 35/40 as i came off the motorway with indicators, the lot, to show i wasnt going off.

its a pretty hard hit to hit me from that angle, she hit me from her left passanger side into my driver side (if you can imagine that)

so you were in the wrong lane then. looking at what you've drawn, you are in the same lane. jeezus man, use the centre of the lane. if you can't even draw a line down the right bit of a lane its no wonder you can't drive properly in one.

the outside lane of that roundabout is for heading to the A27. The arrow points that way, and that way only. To hit where you did, you have not taken the exit for the lane that you were in. She has filtered from the inside to the outside of the roundabout correclty and you have been in the way, because you didnt take the exit for the lane you were in.

it is your fault, and i cannot see how it can't be. especially considering you think you can take the next exit and be in the lane.

??????????

I feel more than one sign in the United Kingdom is capable of producing a SHADOW. This isn't evidence.

What worries me is that you say you were moving right into another lane but you also slowed down, why did you slow down ?
Also you say you never saw the car, you could have pulled out in front of her as you pulled out of the junction and she was coming round the round about, she was then taking her junction with you maneuvering about in front of her.
This may not be how you see it but youve already said you didn't even see her.

Haud on. Haud on. You're saying this happend as you came off the motorway??? That Google map image you keep posting is nowhere near a motorway.

i drew the line link that so i wouldnt obscure the arrow markings in the map, so you can see that the arrow has 2 arrows in 1

it is evidence because its the same sign and place. its easy to know because i was there

no its not, one is going right the other is going straight on.

this some kind of IRC wind up?

motorway or A Road, its the first time ive been there as i said and i was slowing down to make sure i was going to make the right turns. i didnt slow down because i was speeding...

this thread has gone on long enough, and no one seems to understand (or visuallise) how it happen, id tried explaining as much as i can how it happen, but it seems like some of you are getting me wrong.

i will update this thread on monday (if i can sort it out by then or whatever the insurance company says) as i dont want to pee off ppl here from any misunderstanding if i havent explained myself as well as i could.

i will give this thread a break for now :)

I don't really understand why you couldn't get off if you were in the right hand lane?

From where you started, you get off at the third exit you should have been in the right hand lane and then move over just before you were due to get off into the left hand lane.

However you obviously started off in the left hand lane with the intention of getting off at the third exit which is incorrect hence why you crossed her path.
