Focus RS Review

How can 4WD with plenty of power be boring? Having spent time on tracks, etc, the 4WD cars out handle all RWD / FWD cars. They can manouvre around a corner faster and ultimately have more control over the car. They can be more direct and react quicker with the steering. I can't see it being boring, you can ultimately go round corners quicker, thus giving you a quicker exit speed.

This car will be thrashed around tracks a lot. This is an meant to be an RS!

Pardon?

Since when does a 4Wd automatically handle better, for a start they are carrying more weight

Timesonline:

You can accelerate on a bumpy road and not fire straight into the nearest tree. And here’s the big news: it’s better than all current four-wheel-drive systems in go-fast hatchbacks.

It seems they have pulled off the fwd. Glowing review so far. as for the 4wd debate still, they apprently made the prototype with the awd from the c30?(i dunno) volvo and came to the conclusion it didnt feel "RS"

This is OcUK. Any car thread must include a superior BMW. They just have to make it fit, best they can.

somebody made the point that this car would scare m3s,

i think youll find its more common that people bring bmws in negatively not positively

Why are we comparing second hand cars to new ones?
Merlin started it, he's trying to associate his Passat with the RS as both are FWD and therefore separated at birth, from the same soil, cut from the same cloth, one and the same. ;)

To answer your question though it's what the buyers of said cars will probably do. Mate of mine who currently has an Asbo also had an order for an RS. He decided that he couldn't bring himself to buy one when he could have a CSL for the same money. May not be everyones decision of course not least when he has not driven one but I can see his point.....I think.

Seen the Ring times yet....i'd wait and see as I think you might be suprised? 4WD does not a good TRACK car make more often than not.

Not everyone does that, some people are also objective in their comparisons...
