Range Rover Sports

4.2v Super Charged does around 17mpg, tyres are ~ £120 from a non-land rover place. Service is between £400 - £800 depending which service it is.

I really like them, they are fantastic cars especially IF you use them off-road they are VERY capable. I do agree with the above comments though, they have gained a slight reputation because of footballers and drug dealers, (same as other 4 x 4 tho i Suppose). Just don't get one in black with blacked out windows and custom alloys and you'll be fine :)

Don't buy one unless you actually will use it off-road from time to time.

There's something about Range Rover Sports. They have some sort of "rich ******" tag which isn't really associated with Astons, Ferarris, Lambos, AMGs, Ms etc

I dont understand the attitude of some people on here. Just because the particular person acn afford a decent car, doesnt mean that if there is a large saving to be had they arent going to take it. i think in a lot of your opinions, if you can afford one of these cars you can throw away a few grand. smells a lot of jealousy in here.

Jealous, perhaps. There's still something about Range Rovers in particular though. If someone started a thread saying they were buying a Lambo I wouldn't be jealous, I'd probably wish them good luck with it.

Without being a regular poster on motors I can see why you might think this, however go read some threads, get to know something about the good regular posters and the threads made my the trolls then you will beable to post judgement on if the posts above are based on jealousy or not.

Given the fact the poster has just signed up, we've had idiots asking similar before and the sort of person who really buys these type of cars simply don't ask these sort of questions you will see why some of the posts above contain what they do!

Ahh I see. Sorry, I meant the 4.2 in both..

How do they compare? XJR is all ally and light. Good economy on a run.. what about the RangeRover.

The opposite? I suppose it depends on what you consider light also. Im half wondering why im posting this, its such a ridiculous question and quite a bizzare comparison. +1 for making my day.

RRR ugh, cant stand them, when I have to pick my niece up from nursery about 2-3 of these pull up, driven by milfs and they cant park the things, the car park gets busy and its just a nightmare with them trying to drive them, the car park doesn't have markings so they just park anywhere them block cars in because they cant reverse the things.

Ohh come on. It would be no different they drove Volvo Estates or Quattroportes, they'll all practically the same size. Its more the driver than the car, and on that point I agree, silly women who can't drive are annoying, but don't take it out on a good car.

Edit// Personally I'd say that the Porsche 4x4 had more of a 'gangsta' image than a RRS

my mate's dad bought one somewhere cheap and then imported it into the UK after lots of hassle, in order to sell it. by the time he got the plates, the economy collapsed (lol)

the fuel consumption is pathetic, running it in brighton it used a tank a week.
