cheapest place for golf clubs!

Car boot sales. You can pick them up sooo cheap! Just get there early as they're popular. I've got a king cobra purchased for the fine price of 50p and a mizuno driver zoid 2 (old club but still nice to hit) for £1. I currently use a £15 set of clubs from the late 80's and I still find some of todays clubs struggle to match them for distance and feel.

beaten to it grr, i bought a full set of dunlops for £65 from there :D

I got pretty much the same thing, broke the 9 iron trying to smash the ball as hard as I could in a very ungraceful fashion.

I had to shout to everyone on the driving range to stop hitting whilst I ran onto the range to retrieve the head. :p

Soccersports do stupidly cheap drivers (like, £7.99), if all you want is a golf club shaped stick!

Exactly, they are basically "driving range" quality, you get no accuracy or anything. But its amazing fun tonking it as hard as you can and seeing who can clear the driving range :p

Go for this, then if you like it, get something a bit better.

And if it breaks (and it will), make sure you tell everyone to stop hitting the balls whilst you go and get parts of it. :o

how the hell did you manage to loose the head on a golf club?

wasn't me, it was my mate, literally just before he hit the ball he said "think im getting hang of this" then snap!

costing him quite a bit tonight he's having to pay for a new golf club and the speed bumps there ripped his exhaust off haha!

i'm really wanting a game of golf now, might go by myself with my ipod and spend a few hrs walking round, need time to think about stuff too hence the on my own bit. roll on monday :D

I like to do that too... obviously I prefer to play with an opponent, but I'm happy to listen to some tunes and do a round solo....

How long have you played / What clubs do you use?

I don't think they make that shaft anymore...

I think it'd be easier / work out cheaper to find a replacement golf club (as opposed to just the shaft) on the 'bay. Or you could contact the manufacturer and ask if they can repair it... they might even do it free if you ask nicely! :)

I've got an 8.5 degree stiff shaft Taylor Made R540 you can have for £20 + p&p.

If not, Ebay, Golfbidder, Direct Golf, your local golf course in their second-hand bin.

Hay!! thats 4 minutes from my home :)

( oh and I have knocked them out of the driving range before :) )

yea just up road from me aswell

ah its me mate who's dippin into wallet so we'll have to see dude, going to nip to peak village saturday and see what they've got up there

And rybo89, no you won't be able to get a club for 10pounds.

I bought my entire set from a seller on eBay for 26 quid.

Ben Sayers and they are excellent.

Tried a set of my friend's PINGs but felt much more comfortable with my own. :)

And I'm another who is now raring to get back onto the greens due to this thread. :p

Ah man - thats all we need more hooligans clogging up the course :D

If your going to play then learn to play properly, it will be more fun and rewarding in the long run that going up and smacking a ball with just a driver.
