Ive noticed Recently that almost none of the Food Threads on here contain Lamb in any form, No Roasts, No Chops or Shanks

Why is this?

Every thing you lot cook Seems to be from a cow, a pig or a chicken.

Is Lamb just not so popular over there or is it just harder to come by?(Unless you are Welsh)

Or are Sheep really just used for Wool over there?

Cow, Pig and Chicken is usually cheaper than Lamb in this country, simple as that.

Lamb is also my favourite meat, so this makes me :(.

It's really rich and fatty, that's why i don't buy it often. Plus i like a big steak, and you can't really eat a big piece of lamb without feeling it afterwards coz of all the fat.

Love lamb, especially fresh home reared as opposed to the frozen antipodean variety but it is very expensive in relative terms, compared with the other meats.

for the love of god, don't! we produce wonderful lamb in Britain why would you possibly need or want to buy newzealand lamb, you don't get the airmiles with the meals you know.

Elequently put, couldn't agree more.

My Girlfriend's father is an Aberdeen Angus farmer, so we eat more beef than anything else, which I don't moan about!
Lamb is over priced for what is essentially a very fatty meat, but it's nice to have once in a while, if only for the mint sauce.
