Ryanair - charging for the bog - another reason not to use them.

I wanted a bag on the outgoing and return flights - that was circa £30, as you pay for the bag and 'airport checkin' on both legs.

I'll be interested to see what happens to this charge in the future, as O'Leary has said that he intends to eliminate all their check-in desks.

Yeah, I read that. They'll probably just have a Ryanair skip to throw your bags in where you've stuck your own labels on.

Or make you climb a ladder and fill the hold yourself!

I very rarely carry cash, and if I do I only have about 30p (I have no idea how these small amounts of money end up in my pocket)

I'd take a whizz in my seat out of pure badness if they did this.

You would be amazed at how often adults do this anyway.

To cost them money if everyone tipped water on the seat before they left the flight the cost to them would be more than the income from using the toilets.

He was doing really well this morning taking the journos apart on BBC Breakfast until he said that about the coinslot on the toilet door :D

I thought he was having a joke at first.

shamelessly nicked from B3TA but it made me laugh out loud (and sums up Ryanair's attitude perfectly):

I'm frustrated by this also. To get down south to see my folks we used to fly from Prestwick via Ryanair. At the moment we've just checked prices for May, (random May date not the bank holiday) and the flights are something stupid like £4 but the total price including tax is going to be nearly £120. Then there's the car parking etc, and in total it's likely to cost us £150. Cheap flights my arse. I hate using them. In fact, last year we didn't use them once and this year I'm going to try and boycott them again. It's disgusting that they can get away with this. But it's a real pain.

I've never had a problem flying with Ryanair myself, though this coin slot would be pretty ridiculous. I don't see them implementing it, it would cause far too much uproar.
