Killzone 2 - Enter The Killzone

On reflection, it's a good thing that they don't award kills to anyone when they get killed by a turret as it discourages people looking for points from building them; every kill it takes is a kill they've potentially missed out on. What i think they should do to further discourage heavy use of turrets is to award a point to someone for killing a sentry (does it already do this?) and as i mentioned previously; limit the number of sentries allowed at any one time.
 
i dont think it does i killed a right few last night and i didnt hear the ping when you kill someone, and come to think of it i dont remember getting any points for reviving anybody either
 
Just went on Warzone from the main menu and got this popup;

"Because you are within the best 10% players of this week you have been awarded the honor rank Valor Citation" :D
 
No complaining, then you never heard me last night, bloody animal and his shotgun skills, lost count of the amount of times he killed me :x :p

That was me :) Sorry mate, did catch my name mentioned lastnight but didnt know what you said, battery had went on official mic had 2 use me warhawk freebie. Finally got the engineer class & shotgun was the only gun you can pick 2 start with, worked out well because i normally cant shoot for **** but up close the shotgun is spray & pray heaven lol.

Have you an idea how the top 10% is ranked?

I.e. average points per game or amount of experience gained?

I'm wondering if it's possible to work towards these with a full time job, or is some of the top 10% just going to be filled with crap players that grind out experience?
 
is the killzone2 stats page down? i cant see my stats now when i log in

also why cant i get bots into my games?

can we have a poll on which is prefered control scheme?

currently I am sticking with standard 1 but it feels like a chore

change to alt 2 play that for a bit and then change back to std 1 - feels a lot better. Its like alt 2 is training for std 1 (well for me)
 
thats why i said for me - now i can crouch, zoomaim and shoot at the same time :) on alt 2 i wouldnt use zoom aim coz it was uncomfortable.
 
I've just completed the SP campaign on the 'hard' equivalent. I really enjoyed it, it went quite slowly up until visari square then the game picked up immensely. The final levels, especially the courtyard, were just insane, enemies constantly pouring out at you with a variety of weapons. The final boss was quite cool also, opting for a few intense stages with savepoints as opposed to the 'big guy you have to kill before he kills you' approach which was nice.

The ending, while a cliffhanger was what i would class as a 'proper' cliffhanger. Enough had been said at the end of the game to make you feel like a conclusion of sorts had been reached, but far greater problems loomed on the horizon. Now that the game engine and assets have already been created i hope the sequel will be a bit longer and come much sooner.

Now, lets see if i can manage it on elite.
