Killzone 2 - Enter The Killzone

Does anyone here work for a living? :p. Scary how quickly people have levelled up considering the time it takes...

ps3ud0

lol i wanna know the same. In my student days (6 years) i never gamed as much as some people on here (prob because i didnt have the money for consoles!). Im surprised people have so much time to game these days.

In all honesty im just jealous :p

Had to take a break from the game. Just can't for the life of my kill the ******* ATAC. Its driving me mental (playing on Vet). Its spawn die, spawn die constantly.

Edit: Break for the win. Killed it first time after. Didn't get the trophy though :(.

Further to that, the next level is wicked!

ATAC is easy once you figure out the timings tbh, you can actually fire two rockets into him when he's stunned. It takes 4 rockets in vet so you can actually take him out in around 30 seconds, iirc my best is actually less than 30 seconds.

5 ;) (Unless I missed... Though i'm sure I didn't)

I didn't know I could go downstairs for ages :p. Would be better if you had about 5 more seconds to react after the cutscene.

Honest to god it's 4 as i managed to kill him with only two stuns! Also... you can go downstairs!?!?! I didn't really have time to look around, as i say took less than 30 seconds :D

Oh and as a side note, elite is HARD! They don't allow crosshairs so firing from the hip is no longer a viable option in a lot of cases. Decided to take a break after i'd finished the first level, i actually died less than i did in vet due to knowing where surprises were coming from, but damn was it tiring.

I'm doing it without crosshairs as standard!

I got about half way into the level after the ATAC before i turned it back on, not entirely because it was too difficult (it was hard though!) but i realized that in multiplayer firing from the hip is very useful at close range. In the last level i relied heavily on firing from the hip, there's literally no time to take aim with the crosshairs as there's large numbers of rocket troops and those annoying mele guys. You've yet to see the most fierce type of trooper yet, wielding the most powerful machinegun in the game. Pop your head up for more than a couple of seconds and you lose it to them. They're coming soon though so look forward to that! :D

That said, without the cross-hair i'm sure i'll adapt, as i say i've managed the first level pretty well. I've just had to completely rethink my combat tactics.

But then... i really am not looking forward to the final level, that was hard enough in vet :(

Hmm, just realized that to get platinum you need to be in the top 1% of all players online for a week. Is that not a little... harsh? I will never have the time to play enough to get up into the top 1%, as will many other players who are perfectly good at the game.

Shame really, all the other trophies seemed well within the bounds of being possible for me.

Could wait a while for the MP to be less popular?

i reckon all the hardcore clans will sit in the top 1% week in, week out if you wait too long to get it... i was gonna attempt to get it first week of release but i just didnt have anywhere near enough time lol, my playtime so far is like 2 hours :(:D

I think the electric bolts actually do damage as well, because when I beat him the last shot I fired was at the pylons, he wasn't near the rpg blast itself, but the leccy still killed him.

Elite is proving to be a pain, but i'm getting there (currently midway through level 3). The complete removal of crosshairs makes weapons that were previously fantastic much less useful. One such example is the SMG carried by those dudes that run around and try and knife you, it's ironsights are fairly useless at anything beyond medium range. There's also the fact that higs carrying long ranged weapons like the semi auto rifle give you barely any time to take a shot at them, they pop up, shoot 1/2 rounds and then duck back down. If you fire upon them they instantly move position. Only really reliable way i've found of taking them out in a short amount of time is to simply grenade them, but then there's the matter of getting close enough to do so.

The AI in this really is a cut above.
