Torres injuries cost us - Benitez

Players like Torres are not players you can easily replace in a squad, its not mismanagement its a fact:p

No, it's a FAHCT!:p Fair play, Rafa's made this season so much more enjoyable for me. One of the great comedic performances, it's up there with Monty Python.

But Parry bought him! Rafa never wanted him, i'm no Liverpool fan but i'm guessing the whole Parry thing at the club is denting what Rafa wants to do with the club.

He still bought reina, skytle (sp) alonso (barry nxt season), masch, torres.

He needs a bigger squad of players, thats obvious and he's not been given it. Man U's squad has been built over decade. I mean they spent £17 on nani didnt they had he's looked worse than when he 1st arrived at the club, but no one says anything about it. It will be an intresting league nxt season when Ronaldo joins Real.

They did'nt show that against spurs, that was a cup final and they certainly showed they are beatable.

Rafa wanted Keane. It was Parry's job to get him. Make absolutely no mistake about it, Rafa wanted him and Liverpool got him. People can blame Parry all they want, and Liverpool fans can say 'but Rafa didn't want to spend that much on him', welcome to the real world. Man Utd have been signing players for over the odds for years now. You pay what it takes to land you the player.

You say he needs a bigger squad of players, rubbish. He needs better quality players, he has signed over 60 players in little under 5 yrs at Liverpool, if there are problems with quality and depth in certain areas it's down to Benitez. The buck stops with him. The Man Utd squad has been brought together in less than a decade, look at the amount of regular first team players and when they signed. Nani didn't cost £17m either, he is a player for the future, not a bench warmer. Giggs, Scholes, Neville and VDS are all extremely close to the end of their careers hence the need to sign these young players now.

You've totally missed the point over the Keane transfer Linoge. It's not a case that we paid ott. You are right that Keane was a player that Benitez was interested in but he only wanted to sign Keane (and Keane was meant to be his 2nd choice striker too) once Barry and a winger (which wouldn't have been Riera) were signed. However Parry pushed through the Keane transfer first, then decided Barry was too expensive and then even tried to push through a deal for Downing who Benitez totally didn't want.

I just take exception to the idea that Parry went ahead and signed a player that Benitez didn't want which is incredibly hard to believe. It's also hard to know what is what, especially when Benitez is concerned. They are all playing off each other, creating divides within Liverpool. He's to blame....no he's to blame. Calm down calm down. :p If a transfer fails or is deemed too expensive, it's Parry's fault, if Liverpool sell a player for more than their worth, Benitez is a genius.

Benitez didn't want Torres either, that was Parrys work, but do you see him getting the credit for it? no.

As i said, Keane was a player that Rafa wanted. However he didn't want him at the cost of other signings because as we've seen, he wasn't a player he saw being a regular in our side.

Things at Liverpool have been pretty ****ed up behind the scenes since around last December. Coco's never needed much encouragement to stick his nose in and Gillett gave him the opportunity to get even more involved in transfer matters since he fell out with Hicks.
